im not sure about forever, but i would like to be alive far in the future. say 500 years from now. just to see how shit turned out, if global warming was ever a real issue and to see what scientific developments got completed. for example time travel, which is a real thing which can (i believe) be done. watched a docu on a scientist who effectively has desgined a time machine (not in the traditional sense though) using an array of lasers in a specific pattern. it can ofc only accept single particles atm, but who knows how it will turn out. he is a proper scientist btw, not some fucking crack pot who wants to go back in time and kill his granddad or something.

but i also want to experience death, so i dont want to live for an indefinite amount of time. im quite interested to see what images the massive amounts of DMT will produce

The thing about Aubrey de Grey's immortality is that is would be available to everyone, so the situation about outliving all your family and friends would no longer be the case.

The thing that does intrigue me is to see what technology would be around in, say, a thousand years from now. Would cell phones become an implant ? I would imagine all digital displays would become 3D colour interactive holograms, and gaming would be fully-immersive virtual reality.

Then again, Richard & Judy would still be around...bummer

the thing is , the ods of living more than 10000 years are probably very remote. the chances of having a physical accident by getting stabbed/murdered/hit by a bar are prolly quite high. seeing as 10000 years is roughly 130 lifetimes, and more people than that die of unnatural courses in proportion.

i assume most people would end up with cancer by the time your 200 or even have several heart attacks, unless the dude comes up with cures for them as well

'cause the effects of eating fatty foods or smoking have nothing to do with your age(maybe the time you have to gather such stuff) iether way, i think life expectancy wouldn't increase much, cause of everything being cancer related now a days

people who have played the dig('95 classic) could kinda relate to this, for the benefit of those that havn't here's the relavent part, you discover 'life crystals' these are like heroin or crack, in the sence that the effects are lessened and the high is lower, so you have to take more and more
now, they have the ability to bring ANY thing back to life, but cause there somewhat of a class A drug, its soul destroying, and you find out that these 'life crystals' were used to power all sorts of things the creator realized that they caused more harm than good, and tried to stop every thing(thing is intentional) from using it as it was the end of there civilization
