Yeah ther is still a good few scouts about, was in a emain shadow zerg the day with about 5 lev 50 scouts at 1 point, dem SBs kept poping up on us but with 4 scouts backing you up they didnt teld to last to long. rps wasnt great but it sure felt great killing a few SBs for once.

Maybe thats because rest are moving in groups so not much killspam from em etc. like me,give bot and I and many others botless scouts will solo much more.

Well I still enjoy my archer Ody, and who should know they will bring the archers from above par to sub par. The archer was balanced before See hidden, we stil had to deal with PBT misses and fumbles + the growing assassin force.

What crakcs me up is that they had to invent see hidden, because honestly, any assassin can find an archer with relative easy, he just have to put some work into it, now he can spot you from clipping range, and walk straight to your face to PA the crap out of you.

Lost some of the cat and mouse gameplay here.

People might think this as a whine etc etc yada yada, but look at it this way, mythic finds out that the LA skill is way to powerfull, they reduce dam with 30% on any LA style, wouldnt you get pissed mr Berserker/sb?
Or if they removed speed from skald/minstrels because having the ability to chase people down is owerpowered, wouldnt you get pissed mr Skald/minstrel?

The thing that bugs me is that at this time bow has more fumble rate than any other weapon in game, ive got a total of 67 bow spec, I fumble atleast once per opponent in RvR. My stealth that was based for me to sneak around with is rendered useless in any area with remote chance of action (assassin area).
Any assassin knows what a pain in the butt it is to get popped out of stealth by an archer with TS, this is what any archer have to deal with 99% of their active RvR time now.

People might go "oh get a grp you whiner" well honestly, I choose a stealth char because I wanted the ability to choose wether or not I would grp.

I know many shades that doesnt have See hidden. but then there is a few that has it.

Im sorry to say but 1-2assasin in the area with See hidden can (i think) fuck up all archers rvring. specialy in a grp with speed that can search u out fast.

Still i think Detect hidden works just enough for me. as i still see stealthers from WAAAAY away becouse there isnt mant archers that have 50 stealth.

Archers are fun vs groups without PBT. Then we are very, very effective. And we would be fun to solo without See Hidden, to compensate I don't mind them removing TS. There's no logics in assasins being able to hunt archers and not the other way around. To be franc, archers don't even have the upperhand vs a solo caster, esp enchanters.

I have 33 stealth, which is more than enough to escape your run of the mill tank, and as mentioned above its pointless for an archer to go higher, unless they're going to go really high. As a mostly group player, I prefer the extra slash over the stealth. A spec should always reflect you personal playing style.

I actually lvl'd a scout from 0 to 50 after all of the nerfs....
They are so gimped solo, they simply have to get better I feel
The scout is a fine class, the only problem I feel we still have is the fact that SB are so incredebly gay, they cannot go about in emain alone... I get ganked by 2 sb minimum, have never met a solo SB. SB are just sad, moronic feckers. The record so far is a gankage by 5 SB at the same time. I mean, how sad can you get? Ah well... it fits... and they are all buffed anyway, so it is impossible to land slam on them, and if I do, it is purged..
My stealth will be 50 when I reach rr5, I made this scout to solo, as I had to solo to 50. Not a single cheap ass Alb group wanted my scout... preferring 4 inf's in a group to a single scout.... Now I do get invited to groups, but I refuse. I will not help Albions in anyway, except for my own better (ie leech from kills, etc, something a scout does very well). I do not even get rezzed outside apk if begging for it in emain cg, so I do not feel I own Albions very much... as a scout that is. As an armsman I love grouping, and groups will love my full mind specced sorc when the next patch hits... Should I decide to play those. Currently busy playing RvR with my scout, and besides the insanely gay SB, rvr is okish fun. Some small improvements (if you are unbuffed as scout, some major improvements).

Play my cleric with Archtic and Arcofirme, who both play their scouts regularly I do believe. Always fun late at night in Odin's, usually finding myself as a walking buffbot and bait for SBs. People are usually surprised to get a bucket full of arrows hurled at them when they attack a lonesome cleric at HMG.

Also against inf, if they have purge, just purge debuffs/poision, and run like hell, setting pet on inf. You might have a chance then...
Wonder what they will ever do to scouts.
I hope all archers will get bonuses from higher stealth spec, and from higher bow spec, not just scouts.
Higher stealth means lower camo downtime. Higher bow spec means higher % to pierce bt.

I just recently dinged 50 but this talk about hunters beeing gimped is afaik BS just play it good setting the pet up and watch a minstrel go aoe mez near him is so funny (when I'm at range 2000+) get a good Cshot there, but this is my experience....

Why run? I never run against solo inf/ns anymore , purge and start swing like crazy, then IP if needed ))
Got high spear spec though and I lub the Str relic.

well as an ranger im close to give up we have absolutly no means of defens.

scout can slam (maby not the perfect defens if purged), but atleast a chance to get away or get a shot off.

hunters with the new insta pet = if i shot a hunter now, i will have a pet on me that i have absolutly no chance of escapeing

i know i have the speed buff to escape on a 10min timer!

well who can a ranger's attack then ? :

mages - yes.
pets can make it a close battle etc = the fun challenge.

tanks - nah.
they most likely run to u IP and pwn u easy = fair enough.

but worst of all is the see hidden RA. well see hidden is prolly here to stay :/ but atleast give us archers a chance to counter it ? we have camo sure! but on a 10min timer lol! imo they should make camo go on auto and reduce the timer to 3-5 mins.

i started my ranger as a solo char, and yes archers at that point was way to strong, we needed some nerf - but with RA's, resist's etc it has gotten to the point where im about to give up, and i know alot other rangers in hib are also

secondly.
i find it so strange that the archer class is the only char in daoc who dont get any benefits "ei style/special shots" for speccing his prima ability.
