Not to belittle anyones efforts but you dont need fancy diets, medications, creams and any other bullshit which is not one of these two things -
diet
exercise
I went from just under 20st (48" waist) to 12.5st (32" waist) and I did nothing but exercise more and eat less.
Stop eating cakes, move your body a bit more and thats all you need.
If you are training hard - very hard like I am at the moment - the correct diet is vital. Back a few weeks ago I was chronically fatigued all the time. I put it down to my high mileage but I couldn't shake it off. I then read up on my dietary requirements with regard to running and increased my carbohydrates until I was eating 60-80%. I am now running and training much harder and am amazed how much energy I have. I was trying to run hard and only eating fruit and salads before to try and lose weight. Stupid of me really and I should have known better.the exercise part is easy for me, the diet part is not. in the summer i tend to move a lot, biking around and playing basketball, only between 2 periods of moving around i tend to drink a load of beer which cancels it out. and i wont lose weight. so i guess i can testify that just exercise without dieting wont help you lose weight

Apparently to lose weight you shouldn't starve yourself but eat regularly. If you try to go without food you mess your metabolism up. What happens then is the body thinks it is being starved and won't need so much food. You are shooting yourself in the foot by doing so. It is far better to eat often and exercise often. The exercise will boost your metabolism. My missus eats nothing literally (although what she does eat is good stuff) and jogs 4-5 times a week, on top of leading a busy work schedule (works 5 days a week - often with the pleasure of young children) but is finding it extremely hard to get rid of some weight she put on a while ago.
Weird thing is - she is so much better both diet-wise and exercise-wise then when she put it on.
Very weird tbh.
oh why cant sugar and saturated fat just be good for you
I am becoming a bit of a food guru. Fats extracted from animals ain't good for you. Fats from fish and nuts for instance are good for you. There are 2 very different types of fats. The way I look at it the best diet is a vegetarian diet. Such a diet I will most likely adopt as I am practically there already. If you picture a hot tub of saturated animal fat - lard - in a container looking nice and molten which is then poured onto a cold surface to congeal it looks nasty to say the least. That is more or less what animal fat is doing to your arteries. Not good! We need fat but not this nasty stuff. Makes you think eh?Some amount of saturated fat is good for you and required for a healthy diet, regardless of what Ryvita tell you.
Makes you think eh?
No as I know what I know is correct.

Bit vague that innit? What do you know?
