Just got an email from Amazon saying they over sold the game and need to get more stock, so there may be a delay.
I cancelled my order and bought it direct from Blizzard. Yeah it's £10 more, but I can download the game (and luckily as I just did this now, I have the new download files).

whatever! was tired!

Aye, the £10 is a bit :/ but at least its ready go to straight away. My daughter loves picking up and chucking my game dvd boxes around all over the place anyway so it just saves me hassle in the long run.

Bits and bobs of useful info (nicked from various websites and blizz posts for those that havent been reading up)

Magic Find
Magic Find has always been one of the most popular item attributes in Diablo. Magic find helps increase the probability that a higher quality item will drop from monsters.
  • Magic Find helps increase the likelihood of Magic, Rare, Set and Legendary items dropping.
  • The Magic Find attribute can be found on any items that are high enough to support the affixes.
  • Magic Find is based on a percentile increase.
  • You get 20% of the MF found on your follower (source)
  • When played cooperatively items drop separately for each player. This means each player sees their own loot and not loot that has dropped for the other people in the group. When picked up and dropped on the ground or traded the items obviously become visible to the other players as well.
  • When playing in a group, the total Magic Find of the group will be divided equally amongst each player. Here is an example given by Blizzard: "The group consists of four players. In total, their stats are 50% MF, +20% GF and 10% XP, each of these players will have a 12.5% MF, 5% GF and 2.5% XP being in such a group." (Source)
  • Players will find stacking Magic Find gear more difficult than Diablo II due to the sacrifice of other important attributes.
  • Topaz gems will add Magic Find when socketed into a Helmet.
  • There is no cap on how much Magic Find you can have.

Nephalem Valor Buff
The Nephalem valor buff is a system added to Diablo III to help encourage players to play more of the game instead of resorting to boss farming for items. The Nephalem valor buff will increase a player's Magic Find for continually killing monsters.
  • The Nephalem Valor buff increases a player's Magic Find as well as increase the amount of loot drops from a boss.
  • The Nephalem Valor buff will be available only to characters of level 60.
  • After killing an Elite monster, the Nephalem Valor buff will be activated.
  • The Nephalem Valor buff can stack.
  • The buff will disappear if you change a skill, skill rune, passive skill or leave the game.
  • The buff will last for an undetermined amount of time.
  • If a player joins a game, they will not receive the current buff other players may already have.
  • Dying will not cause the buff to disappear.
  • If disconnected, there will be a small grace period before disappearing.

Multiplayer
While Diablo III is playable solo, the game is built around a multi-player experience. Blizzard has made the effort to play with others much easier in Diablo III. Able to drop in and out at any time, players will be able to group and slay demons with their friends or complete strangers.
  • Each game may have up to four players.
  • Monster difficulty will increase with the number of players in the game.
  • Followers are not allowed in multiplayer games.
  • Games can be made either private, invite only, or public.
  • Players can search for public games simply by choosing the quest they want to start at.
  • When joining a game, each player's banner will be present in the cities.
  • Clicking on a player's banner will automatically teleport you to that player for quick access.
  • When entering an event, such as a boss fight, each player of the group will be notified and asked to join.
  • Each player receives their own item drops and gold from mobs that only they can see and pick up. However health globes are global, and shared.
  • Players may pick up and then drop the items for other players to pick up.
  • In multiplayer the Magic Find stat of all players will be combined and divided by the amount of players in the group to bring a balanced drop rate to all of them. More on this in our Magic Find Recap. (Source)
  • Players can resurrect other players when they die with a short channeling time.
  • There is no LAN play. All multiplayer is done through Battle.net.
  • Other players cannot use your town portals.
  • Armor will appear different on every class and gender.
  • There won't be any guild/clan support at launch and there are currently no plans to develop it.

Monster Scaling by Difficulty and Players
Here is how monsters scale per player in each difficulty:

Normal - 75% Health; 0% XP; 0% Damage
Nightmare - 85% Health; 0% XP; 5% Damage
Hell - 95% Health; 0% XP; 10% Damage
Inferno - 110% Health; 0% XP; 15% Damage

Hmm, +0% xp? So does that mean both players will get 100% of the XP a monster can drop as opposed to sharing it?

Forgot the formula for /players 8 diablo2, but I know the more players you had, the more XP you got...
