Well as I had someone attack me ingame today over taking creatine, I thought I would vent my anger here as I cba talking to an idiot. So if you read this you'll see i'm right you ****!

The story with creatine is that it's fucking awesome. Also, it is not a drug, it won't damage your kidneys, drain your brain out through your ass or cause you to go bald. And if anyone makes any one of the aforementioned claims, then they're a fucking idiot and shouldn't be listened to. And that's a scientific fact. Practically any power athlete who medalled in the '92 games gobbled creatine, Linford Christie to name afew.

Another scientific fact is that creatine works. It's part of the phosphocreatine energy system in your cells. The creatine phosphate system is involved in high intensity output lasting up to 20 seconds (or there abouts) so for sprinters and all power athletes, it's fucking awesome. Also, it acts as a buffer to lactic acid, so it can even help endurance athletes. It also acts as a spatial and temporal buffer of ATP concentration. Phosphocreatine plays a particularly important role in tissues that have high, fluctuating energy demands such as muscle and brain, so it could make you smarter.

There's been a few studies done that show it to completely safe, at least in the short term, Robinson et al., 2000, so don't buy any of that bull crap about it damaging your kidneys..it all stems from a test for kidney function that doctors use, which uses a breakdown product of creatine metabolism to measure how well your kidneys are working.

Your body makes creatine naturally so creatinine is always present..if your kidneys are fucked, then the level of creatinine, a waste product, will increase in your blood, as it isn't being cleared. Now, when you start taking creatine, your levels of creatinine will go up, NOT because your kidneys are fucked, but because you're taking more creatine. It's a false positive when creatine users test positive for kidney damage. Furthermore, it's a logical fallacy, and a symptom of fucking idiocy, to suggest that creatine is causing kidney damage.

Never mind this talk that creatine isn't absorbed, that all the muscle bulk is from 'water-retention' etc. The people that say these things aren't biochemists..they're fucking idiots, and if they disagree, I'll crush them with my creatine pumped, super-muscles! :fluffle:

Yes, creatine causes water retention (its actually absorbed into your cells bonded to a water molecule) but it's intra-cellular water retention, which is a good thing. INTER-cellular water retention is what gives women's arses cellulite and doesn't improve athletic performance.
A fully hydrated cell is mechanically stronger and also exhibits an increased rate of protein synthesis due to osmotic pressure..both good things, I'll find you'll agree.

Also, creatine is readily bioavailable, something like 95 %, so fuck the non-creatine using begrudgers..the *****.

My final point is this. DRINK WATER LIKE FUCK

End of story really. Think I covered important points there. So your wrong shit noob!

I find it amusing that you mention scientific fact in one paragraph and end that same paragraph with underlined speculation. :p
You could have saved alot of time by simply posting the link to the Wiki page aswell:

I would be careful making statements like these.

Pointing out academic research is all nice and dandy, but like you say yourself real longterm research hasn't been done yet as the product as athletes use it simply isn't around long enough to do so.

Moreover, there are in fact already studies that do point out Creatine may be a possible danger. One of these studies for instance shows a growing of the heart in some cases, which can be extremely dangerous. Another study points out that overusage of creatine will make the body stop its natural creation of creatine. Again potentially dangerous when you've had enough of spending over 30 quid a month on the stuff.

The fact that athletes are still alowed to use it freely btw is due to the fact that creatine is present in some everyday foods.

Be a sport and get bigger the old fashioned way. Don't try to look cool with fake water-filled muscles, Creatine effects, and therefore your 'uber' muscles, aren't there to stay anyway.

this statement makes it sound like you your self are a scientist. id hazard a guess that you arnt. i would also guess that you are simply spouting shit that other people spouted somewhere else on the internet.
so i wonder why you even botherd?

oh well. why cant you experiment your self and supply us your extensive results along with back ground theory etc?

I'd usually take creatine every morning before I went to school! It made me get thru the day in a better way, not getting that fast tired, or falling asleep at the desk all the time.

It is a really good product imo, and I also use it when pumping muscles(that and proteins). Have not seen any side effects yet, but I doubt it is any dangerous at all!

Honestly mate, if you need synthetic creatine to stay awake during daytime, go see a doctor.

School, then working out at the gym, then work! It kinda made me tired, and without creatine it wouldnt take many days before I would've been completely exhausted!

Unless you can prove to me by linking me to a medical journal with a published paper on research into creatine i will just take your post with as much salt as i would as if it was printed in the sunday sport.

Also the statements "scientific fact" and "could" usually don't find themselves into the same sentence.

60 years ago they said smoking didn't kill, how things change with better testing methods and scientific breakthroughs.

I don't like discussions like these, partly due to the fact things are rather based on personal usage rather than scientific fact, everyones body works differently - However, I have been advised that creatine can make your penis small and it tastes like shit, regardless whether thats true or not i'm just post farming and don't really care.

I've just been having a think aswell, whoever said that an increase in protein synthesis rate is a good thing? The most logical reason for the increase in protein synthesis rate is that the cells are responding to the increase in osmotic pressure by producing osmotic stress proteins (stimulus leading to a response in order to maintain the status quo of the cell).

I find stackers are better for keeping me awake and they help you loose weight without really trying.

I’ve been cycling creatine on and off for the last 6 months there is no point in taking it unless you train hard. It hydrates your muscles and gives you more muscle stamina it’s a natural substance found in the body and isn't a hormone like a steroid. There are lots and lots of brands so it varies the only side effects of it really is dehydration so you must drink a lot of water.

If you get water retation then try an ethyl ester if you're using monohydrate.

As Gimmly said it's only really worth looking into if you train seriously. Although CEE > Monohydrate, it contains an inbuilt transport matrix so none of the creatine-y goodness is lost on it's way to the muscles. CEE also provides much potent effects without the sides, such as water retention (aka the 'creatine bloat')

raw egg, risemilk and a banana in a glass mixed is what I take after a gympass, and also if you just EAT ALOT (preferly 6 meals per day to keep bloodsugar up) of what's cosiderd normal "everyday fare" (meat, chicken meat, spaghetti and so on) a good dinner should consist of 40% carbs, 40% protein, 20 % good fats(eg. omega3).Lastly: sleep, sleep, sleep and did I mention SLEEP ALOT
some good links:

Enjoy :)

Why do people think they're rocky and eat raw eggs? :p

The bioavailability of a raw egg is about 60% due to an enzyme which limits this level of absorbing all the nutrients possible. Cook the egg and you denature (kill) this enzyme, allowing you to absorb all the protein goodness :D

now enjoy your training buffed irl ..... =)

/joke or ... u choose =P
Deca-durabol is a growth hormone, which is a steroid apart from the fact that you shouldn't take any hormones until your 25+ playing with you're body’s hormones is not a good idea and you will regret it, you’re balls we all shrink and you will get bad gyno as well on steroids like testosterone and deca-dura all for a little extra gains? You're test is booming at this age anyway it isn't needed.
