You may not like the fact but frankly after all the years of hard work, money, time and effort that the likes of Ted and Dbs put in on Barrys for nothing, then I think they deserve every last quid that they can get from Game. I have to agree with that, but i don't agree with the bannings(not seen the offending posts, but hardly sounds like anything that bad...), and especially not sticking half of the oldest regulars on a want-to-ban list!

Surely the solution would be to have 2 general forums. One for more PC/Suit-Friendly stuff, that new people could post on without fearing for their lives... And a second for the everyday threads that probably aren't looked kindly on by the suits. For instance, some of the humour that comes from Wij and a few others, is superb, and is what makes it worth while frequenting the board. However, it tends to appear *anywhere*. If you stuck the 2nd General forum somewhere not quite so easy to find, re-applied the warning, and made it clear that all posts in the main general board were to be family-friendly, then there'd be no problem...

Obviously, there used to be a "Barrysworld" forum, that never got posted in, but in this case, the real General forum would be labled something like "Reg's/OT forum", and not be at the top of the list...


It would be a pitty to see an end to all the things that make the General board what it is, which are probably two in number:
The regulars.
The lawlessness.

Not noticed Perp posting for a while, and it would be a shame to think that he might never do so again
