Its not a head swivelling idea that you could train extra nurses to work in covid specific wards in ten months.
Your reaction seems to be..what can we do , theyre working so hard'.

Its too little too late, many more are going to die. London has shipped many of the CV19 patients to the SE region, causing them to refuse to take anymore. Worthing, where I live had remained fairly unscathed and was never above 65% occupancy with CV19 cases, alas, the wife is back to work tomorrow after a week off and we'll see what that brings.

Shes an anaesthetic nurse and typically works in day surgery, but looks like all elective surgery is going to get pulled tomorrow, she'll then be seconded back to ITU/CCU in Worthing due to her experience and thw fact she spent 12hrs days in ITU/CCR looking after folks on ventilators.
The issue isnt so much beds this time around, its staff, many hospitals have staff off with stress through to CV19 itself.

We still arnt mandating masks outdoors and even considering letting schools restart so we're on a hiding to none.

The cynic in me says "at least they'll pay out less pensions ^^", but I'm not sure even Politicians are that callous.. or are they?
Whatever next, reducing the effectiveness of the vaccinations with a single shot to start with..and maybe a second of one type or another at some point?.

I was happy to follow the science, but I think BoJo is getting this wrong now. I have no time for Starmer but I think he's right on this one, we probably need a lockdown to ease the pressure on the hospitals, because if the numbers dont subside its going to get a ton messier.
