We spent every Easter in N Wales staying in a converted chapel that belonged to a friend of my dads from when I was about 4 to probably 8 or even 9- I have possibly walked ever mountain in the area at a very young age - my dads favorites were Roman steps from Cwm Bychan and Moel Hebog (they were done each visit). I also did Snowden at 6 with one of my brothers 11 and my dad - we were gone so long mum sent out a search party - we were fine - there was snow up to my waist and I had little legs...
I do not have horrible memories of Snowden but I do of Moel Hebog - my sister was 2 the first time and she sat in a chair on my dads back - this meant I had to walk which was not the issue - the problem was all of the stone walls ...
I cried apparently for 90% of the day.
