Well the mail is posting the geographical data for deaths against minority populations from the ONS data.
Theyre gagging to make a conclusion, but the top ten areas for deaths are all 40-70% ethnic while the lowest ten areas are 4-13% ethnic.
None of the lowest are particularly well off either.
Grimsby sticks out with 8 deaths per 100K and only 2.5% ethnic.

Newham has a whopping 140 deaths per 100K and an ethnic pop of 71%.

All rather obvious and also ammo for a certain crowd.

Revealed: How government changed the rules to hit 100,000 tests target

It's taken them a while but the government have finally come up with a way to spin the numbers to "hit" their target. They've included a load of home testing kits that they've sent out but haven't received back yet.

I mean woohoo they're ramping up actual testing but let's see if they can hit 122+k tests every day from now on, shall we? Or if they just fudged some numbers to hit a target Hancock pulled out of his arse 3 weeks ago because they'd failed to hit the previous one.

Site created by IT chaps collecting real time data in Sweden C19.SE - Coronavirus statistics there are other numbers for other countries but they do not agree with countrys numbers so not sure of the accuracy - the swedish ones look ok though.

That cunt Matt Hancock actually had the gall to tweet "test test test" - which was the WHO's mantra given long before this pandemic was a thing.

If they'd fucking listened then thousands of people wouldn't be DEAD.

Whether they hit 100k/day or not this paltry achievement is nothing to congratulate the tories on - we should have been prepared, and it was their job to do that.

Them changing how they count tests to pad the numbers is not the same as them actually carrying out more tests. You think bunging a testing kit in the post (which they might not even get back) actually constitutes a test being carried out?

The whole point of testing is to give the health service a snapshot of how many new infections there are and where they are in the country. By including tests that they have posted to people, they're doing nothing more than muddying the water and fudging the numbers to meet a target.

It's genuinely bewildering the lengths some on here will go to to throw themselves to the defence of this government.

I am really sorry I can not agree with you. No European country had the ability to test in the way S Korea had done. They already had the infrastructure before CV19 arrived. The ONLY thing europe could have done was to isolate as soon as the first person with CV19 arrived in their countries - hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Scouse I get your frustration and the UK you live there, but Callous and Yuckfou - the countries you lived in have failed to an equal to greater extent the numbers (or missing numbers) speak for themselves. Don't get me wrong is its great that you feel a sense of national pride so sure your reactions are absolutely human - you do not want your chosen country of residence to be seen as doing anyting wrong - I get it, but seriously reflect a little please.

What is important for the UK right now is that testing is being done and hopefully it will help the country manage their situation.

Two wrongs do not equal a right.
Can you read that from up there in your ivory tower?

I'm specifically talking about the UK gov changing how they count tests in order to spin numbers so it seems like they have tested more people than they actually have. If Hancock had said "look we're up to ~80k actual tests a day, we're not going to meet our target but we're getting there" that would've been something but instead they went to great lengths to fudge the numbers to make it seem like they had. It's dishonest and unconstructive.

I absolutely know that but as I have said earlier you are so UK focussed living in your very safe village in Spain... I have been looking for reflection from expats for weeks realistic pictures of life and what the governments or health officials could have done better, but there is none because the countries you live in are so perfect oO - seriously why can you not see what I am saying.

Yes the UK fucked up and could have done many things better however you do not know if any other party could have managed the situation better than it is being done today. Even if Labour / Libs had come to power in 2015 I do not believe the situation would be any different than it is today.

What i hope comes out of this is that Europe set up better testing systems for pandemics - which is the process S Korea went through after Mers. If all countries in Europe can learn this lession then all the terrible loss will not have been for nothing.

To me the point over a day or so is somewhat moot, some people would of complained either way.

Still need a rapid tester in large quantities that is highly efficient.
