Well I could never do Haiku so I've opted for a bit of relevent (and topical) middle English, Sir Gawain and the Green Ker-nig-ett, Folio 1, and I quote...

'Þis kyng lay at Camylot vpon Krystmasse

Rekenly of þe Rounde Table alle þo rich breþer,
With rych reuel oryt and rechles merþes.'

Which means something like Arthur and his meights were sat at the round table, at Christmas , having a few jokes etc. which I personally believe were about Warlocks and Bainshees, and thus the link.
