Quiet year for music this year, although I did get to Download, so seen plenty of bands.

Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be watching...Paramore. My GF couldn't find anyone who'd go with her, so I get to go...

I figure if I take my iPod I can listen to summat decent while ogling that not-half-bad Hayley bird.

Psht! Decent gigs up Newcastle are far and few, most the good ones don't go any further North than Leeds Been 3-4 years since Alexis were last here anyway, it was needed!

Oh I'm also going to see Pulled Apart By Horses and Gay For Johnny Depp next week, can not wait! They both put on an absolutely incredibly show.

Actually liked a few songs there, i guess the music grows on you. Or i should say, it takes time to grasp certain pieces of music/lyrics.

Nah GFJD are a lot more raw, and a tonne less technical than TNTLLU. Their show last year was amazing, supported by Blakfish aswell who are quality. Most of the gig seemed to be just me and 10-15 other half naked folks moshing about and regularly getting wrestled down by the singer, good times, good times

Saw Paramore the other year supporting Evanescence. They were seriously bad. People were actually walking out. They surely must've improved since then as their recorded stuff seems ok.

Evanescence are a completely different style to Paramore.

I don't get how that worked, people probably walked out cos Evanescence fans are completely different to Paramore fans lol.

Best gig i've been to this year was Parkway Drive in April. Was the best show of my life.

I'm also quite glad somebody mentioned City and Colour / Dallas Green. Seriously good!

I've got tickets to Journey/Foreigner/Styx at the LG Arena in Brum next year. They may all be ancient but it will be a show to remember.

With my health problems this year I've not been to too many gigs but Kiss rocked They are more like a cover band of themselves these days but they sure know how to put on a spectacle, and some of their songs are classics.

Well my gig was cancelled tonight thanks to the PABH singer having problems with his chest, but it's rescheduled to 11th January. Yay 2 month wait.

As an aside, my brother and his girlfriend went to see Imogen Heap at the Coal Exchange in Cardiff last week. At least they would have done if they didn't show up the night after she played.
