This day will go to the history!

The day when albs moved in to Midgard, it was a sunny Sunday morning. People in Midgard had just got out of their bed. When someone was yelling that 95 enemys was near Fensalir. All the strong warriors in midgard rushed to Mjollnir, and slaughtered the albs one by one.
Mjollnir was safe and the repairs begun. Suddenly we heard that more albs had returned and was attacking Nottmoor Faste. The repsonse from the mids was slow.. just minutes after the report about the albs, Nottmoor was lost.

and 12 hours later I'm going to bed

I'm sure Midgard will loose their str relics tonight, the winners from this great battle today will be Albion when the night falls.

Last weekend when we took back Nottmoor and Arvakr Faste with 150-200 Mids, I said to Herbal that who cares how many we bring to retake a keep, you will never get Corpse Summoner in one of Midgards keep. He responded that he would bring 130albs next time. I guess it was this day he was talking about.

This day will never be forgotten, a sad day in Midgards history, but a Victorios(sp?) day for Albion. Fighting back Mids for 12 hours ain't easy, even with a CS.

I salute Albion! and I salute Midgard for keeping up the good defence all day, even if we got defeated at Nottmoor time after time.

AND FFS DON'T TAKE OUR RELICS NOW!!!

This day has been the most fun I've ever had in DAOC.. I love the realm vs realm fights that we have been witness to today..

Some bugs, some whines.. true true. Some bugged rps, cause of the CS, but otherwise, very fun to play and fight vs albs that truly knows how to zerg and have tacticts at the same time..

Just a shame we can't take out a defended keep anymore. Way to hard, but more tactics are needed, not just zerg and win.

I just want to /salute those Albs who held on after our relatively weak RR attempt.

As soon as we were wiped at Mjoll the plans were made to go for a CS.

This has been an epic day for the Excal server.

/salute to mids for never giving up.
/salute to albs for (yet again - the 4th time in 10 days for the newly organised Albion!) making the fun for all 3 realms on Excal.

DAoC is a game. Games should be fun. Hope you're all having fun in and around Nottmoor.

There has been some really nice fg-vs-fg encounters against Hibs tonight, SS had a little gank team out and running and having lots of fun during the evening (even some victories!). Then, we were stupid enough to tarry too long when rezzing and got pwned by Vengeance.

Those fights would of been enjoyable but the lag was just too bad.
The endless flow of Albs coming from CS was like trying to fight outside ATK in peak hours
Albs proberly making more rps cos nearly every Alb I killed had come fresh from CS and wasnt worth a thing

Corpse Summoners are intended to help retrieve relics - some players are using corpse summoners to camp out in keeps and simply defend it, gaining Realm Points all the time. This had led to a situation where some Realms actively do not want their Relics. We're making two changes in this version to incent Realms to want to keep their Relics and to not over-use their Corpse Summoners.

1. Characters who are defending their home frontier against invaders with a corpse summoner in their realm will now receive a 15% RP bonus for each enemy relic they currently control (Up to a 60% total bonus) to recognize the added difficulty of defense in this situation and as an additional relic reward.

2. Characters now will not earn Realm Points in the 30 minutes following a resurrection at a corpse summoner."

Thanks to the mids who just kept comming to stop us getting bored and nice tactics for that nasty SahdowZerg you used on the summoner. The fight over the keep after that was truely epic

Hehe, this could have something to do with that we used about 10 rams on Nottmoor, i.e. the leftovers from the relic raid.

I am not so sure. I've also been up fighting for the whole day and I am totally exhausted. I bet many Albs feel the same.

I echo that. Midgard truly is the realm that appears to care most about its relics; it was amazing to see those crazy people come back in wave after wave. Not to mention the siege engines you brought to bear on Nottmoor, was indeed an awe-inspiring sight.

And as for the CS thing.. do what you were doing earlier, but for some reason stopped.. BUILD TREBS!

Get a shadowblade to go in there, GT the CS, then have the seige builder ground target assist and fire away, you'll nail almost all the rezzers and the summoner himself.

But oh wait, that requires thought and logic, hope I'm not banned from BW now..

A fg of sb's got together and ganked the cs, we then tried taking nott but were outnumbered again. The bastard popped in blend so its a no win situation. We gathering at mjoll now and are working on it so dont expect to have the cs tomorrow.

Must say it hasnt been boring, too sad the fun was ruined by the fregging lags, and the fact that i only got RP for 1 kill of 20 or so ;(

But anyway well done Albs and Mids great battles and combats today.
