and please gif new crafting system.... hate to trinket 10000000000 woods takes forever... gif new recepie 200 wood/metal in 1 keystroke and make it take 10 min, but only make posible for capped LGM's to make

"Anti-radar
As you already know, fighting cheaters has always been a priority on DAoC servers. This week, almost a hundred players have been banned because they had used a "radar" type of third-party software, in clear violation of the rules accepted by all in the EULA.
The accounts concerned have been banned from the Dark Age of Camelot European servers once and for all. As a matter of fact, we continue our investigations. The fight against cheaters does not stop here.
Have a good game."
That'll teach them....
aye true you can now trinket 20 of material each time, but then it takes 50% longer time to make same amount and that dosen't really help me when I have 50000 wood/metal to trinket I sudently have to use 150% of the time I did when I made hinges, just now I can do something while crafting instead of pressing the button every 6 second for 2 units, now it takes 92 seconds for 20 units... hate this... gif faster crafting...Flimgoblin said:they added in bigger trinkets a few patches ago I thought? not superhuge ones but bigger.
Docs said:Now with 100 less cheaters on the EU servers, have any of you out there noticed any difference?
Just curious as to wether there has been an apparant difference since this was announced?

I think the problem lies in the way the code is transmitted to the user. We all know the well known "lag-inc" when the comp loads textures for incoming players and I think in the same way other players are sent to you before they reach clipping range. So if you get a program to analyze that code, you get a pretty simple radar proggy which should show the locs of everything around you in that maximum sending range. Having such a thing run on your harddrive might be easy to check but actually you could do many things to trick the whole thing, like run the parser on a unix machine besides you and send the information via SSH to a 3rd party onscreen program on your own machine. So the DAoC code could check incoming stuff for radar stuff, but it can't decode the SSH tunnel. In the same way the same code couldn't detect the onscreen 3rd party proggy, cause a lot of other programs do the same thing ( Fraps and TeamSpeak Overlay both create an overlay for DAoC and I wouldn't consider them cheats =)) ).
Well long story short. I'm not much into network programming, but I think it's not too hard to outtrick the general safety features when you know how to hide your code well.
Joohl said:Why not have a public execution ingame, this is a fantasy world, where some big lord command the executioner in a big voice.
OFF WITH THEIR HEAD!!!!!!!.......
{chopp} <chaters name> has been slain by <executioner name>.........
npc croud go :bazbeer: folowed by silence.......
then have an undertaker drag the body off to some dark cave where they may not rest i peace.
This way it's a ingame event and they have only tou pdate there EULA, so it state that cheaters char name will be killed ingame if they are caught, and everyone click <YES> to EULA at instalation. (I'v read it have you?)
Hell I'd have a char constantly logged at execution area to get there asap and see everyone of those executions, I'll even buy Fraps and record it
