My thoughs draw prolly a fair result, ballsack should have been sent off and it was a penalty on Henry. And both Drogba and Alves should ben banned. Advantage Chel$ki home advantage and 2 CB mising from the next game.

Who cares? 0-0 great result for Chelsea, Barca missing both CB's in 2nd leg.

Chelsea will go through now, hopefully we will be there in final with you.

An interesting game.

Well done to Chelsea for a fantastic result. Once again I think Barcelona have been overestimated and Chelsea have been underestimated by many. Hiddink worked a masterclass and I think the result should be credited to him and the defence - although the tie is by no means over.

Barcelona played some good passes but weren't as incisive and penetrating as teams like Man United. Xavi and Iniesta played a couple of good balls but weren't as good as people said they were.

Messi was interesting. He showed flashes of brilliance but yet again for all his dribbling he failed to produce an end product. In fact I was quite dissapointed with Messi as he failed to take the game by the scruff of the neck and change it. If he wants to be something more than just another Ballon d'Or winner then he is going to have to be able to change the course games rather than fade in and out of it. His performance and the game as a whole rings of Man United vs Barca last year and I wouldn't bet against a similar outcome. But Chelsea will attack at the Bridge and then we will see who deserves to win.

Barca were the better team but not as good as many has anticipated, especially Messi whom I was expecting a lot of tonight.

Great bus parking defending from the team. Which isn't suprising considering we've played against our fair share of buses this season. No one stands out as our MotM because the whole team defended well, but i'll give it to Cech because he was the difference.

Barcelonas movement, passing and technique is phenominal. I have to admit they had us in midfield, Lampard was terrible and rightly subbed, hopefully it'll spur him on even more. I'd quite like to see another lob from the byline over Valdes.

Bosingwa was great. Despite everyone in the world saying he was going to have rings run around him he was solid. Even the first foul on Messi he got the ball imo. However Messi was pretty shit, didnt manage to do much more than get some yellows for our players.

The home leg should be a very different affair since i expect it'll be more open. However we can't let it be too open or they'll show their superiority. No Puyol, hopefully no Marquez, and maybe some more after El Classico on the weekend.

Our attacking play was poor but it was always going to be with so few players foward. Drogbas chance will be rued massively :p

I think thats the result Chelsea were looking for. Not a great match to watch but got the result. Messi showed how average he is, more of a show player than a match winner. I thought Essien had a pretty good game again.

Barca could have got something from the game if they had manned up a bit and stopped rolling around the floor all the time. Some quite shocking theatricals that make Ronaldo look like an amateur.

Given the dynamics of the game i thought we played fantastically. Didn't give Barca an inch around our box and everything they threw at Cech ended up as half chances - the ones that got through he dealt with fantastically. That'll pipe his critics down.

I know Drogba stretches the limits of gamesmanship, but Dani Alves, what a ****

Just like United Barca last year, No end product from Messi again, He is a very good player but in all honesty he is playing in a sub par league if it was Ronaldo he'd be getting the never shows up in big games crap. Bosingwa out of position, Essien not in his natural position, Chelsea without Essien running the show in centre mid. And yet they were very comfortable through out. Some dodgy referee decisions and Alves and Drogba need to be shot irl!!!

Lets hope the game tomorrow is played with a bit more flair and precision. Actually fuck it just give some goals :p

A lot of people around are criticising the way Chelsea played but if Barcelona can't even score one goal against them then people need to realise that perhaps they just can't perform as well against English teams.

Thats the thing. They cant. Ive said this for a long time. The continental teams struggle with the english defences and the all round intensity.

Guus got his tactics spot on today. Playing Barcelona at their own game would've destroyed us. We just don't have the players to do it, let alone against a team of their quality.

Whether it was the height of the cameras or not, i'm sure the pitch dimensions of Stamford Bridge are much smaller, which may play into our hands a bit more than theirs. Eitherway i feel we're going to need 2 goals at home, a 1-0 lead is simply not enough in the last 5 minutes :p

You are right, their pitch is much bigger than hours. At home if we played the same way (we wont) Drogba wouldnt be so isolated.

Every time I see Drogba play I just feel like stabbing him over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again until he finally exhales for one last time so that I can light a cig and feel like I've done the entire world a favour

Oh good, not just me then. Mind you I find Chelsea, on the whole, to be as watchable as the test card. Very effective but dull. They'll bore you to death, just to win 1-0. Much like the the famous old Arsenal team.

Of course (most of) the fans don't mind if it wins silverware but for neutrals... Zzzz.

The worst thing about Drogba is that he is very talented, very strong and very fast. He doesn't have to do it.

Exactly.. If he would just use his talent and skill instead of making a fool of himself I'd try to respect him

Dogba was bad, but the Barca players took the extreme piss. This is why I prefer English teams facing each other in the champs league at this stage, at least we don't get a stoppage every 2 minutes.

I know the refs have been told not to stop play unless it is a head injury, but they need to clarify this rule and enforce it very strongly to put players off play acting.

It would have been so nice if Ballacks obvious acting would have resulted in a goal :) I think Barca and and Chelsea were equally bad tbh. It's just that Drogba and Dani Alves stood out in the diving department :)

It could have gone either way, so it was right not to give it.

personnally on first and subsequent views i felt it was a penalty. Henry was off balance however i feel he would have got some sort of shot off had he not been dragged back.

Also the foul by ballack was cleanly a yellow card offence and so he should have been sent off, was very surprised the referee bottled that decision.... but not as surprised as Drogba's double miss in the first half.

The foul by Ballack would of been a very harsh yellow, barely any contact and Iniesta just rolled about 5 yards to end up in the box. Puyols second lunge from behind on Malouda was more worthy but nothing was given since Malouda was offside.

The Barcelona players sound very bitter and are moaning about the ref loads. Funny since he'd give them freekicks every 2 minutes and ignore almost identical "fouls" committed on our players.

Barca have always been whining bitches though. Remember the champs league final against arsenal? Funny that Henry is one of those whining bitches now, considering what eh said that night :)
