my nova is a mint condition car, it isnt driven by a prat who trys to take other cars off the road, cuts people up, and mouths off at people for no reason, with all his m8s in the car, caus thats a stereo-type. It ISNT slow seeming it chucks out 85 BHP for a car that weighs about 750 KG

A few points came to mind while reading your attempts at a valid argument.

1) Frankie. I talk to everyone like I talk to you lot. Fact. I havent been in a fight since primary 4. Fact. Know why? Cos most normal people realise THAT I AM TAKING THE FUCKING PISS. Even the most fuckwitted of people I've met, and trust me I've met a few, realise this. Now kindly fuck off pls child.

2) TUG. 14.2 eh? Seeing as the official Fiat figures (and just about every others) say just about 12, that would make you wrong. And seeing as 0-60 means precisely FUCK ALL in the real world, that would make you a prat. Bloody stokies. (Incidentally I saw a Ferrari F40 drive past britannia stadium a few weeks back. Must have been passing through or summat )

3) sjp, who rattled your cage? I dont recall abusing you in the past couple of weeks, so shut yer trap until spoken to alright . About a couple of your points, wood in an interior is about as big a turnoff in a car as they come imo. If I want to sit surrounded by wood I'll go sleep in a forest thanks. And no, I wouldn't say the cinquecento was a good looking car. But it makes you smile in everything it does. It even breaks down in amusing fashion . But I wouldnt have an XJR, as I also hate big cars. Id have an M5 as they are great drivers cars, but apart from that a 3 series is about as big as I'd go.

4) TUG again. I would offer to give you a race, but judging on your previous form, the likelihood of you ever getting a car are about as likely as frankie learning to read. And even then it will probably be a m8s car that you claim to own. In fact why dont you meet sjp, then you can have an XJR.

5) Anyone who disagrees with any of the above points is wrong. Oh and frankie you're a homosexual.

I've never wanted one and only know them because I have a couple of friends with Novas, Clios and the like , I know nothing about them except that around town they are quick enough to get from A to B... but on the other hand I also have a friend with an SLK and I'm driving a silver Mitsubishi FTO GPX Mivec at the moment...

The point being that everytime someone asks about a car I don't come in and compare my FTO with someones Nova, I know that the FTO is a better car, but I wouldn't reccomend it to any of the 17-yr old peeps because they simply wouldn't get insured... The Mivec is too fast and powerful for any first time driver to get behind the wheel of...

exor meanwhile comes in and tries to rip into people because their cars don't spec against his MGF, well, they're not likely to are they? Agreed? They were asking for reccomendations and the like, not critism... and certainly not which car made them look more camp.

I don't have to hijack threads to show off my car, or to critise others so to raise my ego... I drive a nice car... I get out of it when I get home, turn the alarm on and the next time I think about it is in the morning when I have to drive it again... it doesn't absorb so much of my life that every time the word car is used I have to blurt out its vital statistics and pure superiority.

In any other area ppl like exor would be accused of having a superiority complex... if someone wanted a basic pc for wordprocessing and a bit of web surfing and came to the forums to ask for reccomendations I wouldn't expect you, or anyone else to tell them to go out and get a PIII 1Ghz, 512Mb RAM and a Geforce2, so why when someone asks about hatchbacks do we have Mr MGF (I call him that because he loves the damn thing so much he must've at least considered marrying it) criticising their choice of car, or line of questioning...

These threads are a method by which people learn and join as a community... if you don't have anything constructive to say then don't say anything at all... If you are concerned that someone's choice of car is a bad one and you have a constructive suggestion... e.g. don't buy a metro, have a look at a nova or a corsa then fair enough... but to tell someone who wants to buy a car with a budget of £2000 that they are stupid and should buy themselves a ferrari is stupid... ignorant and stupid... all it indicates is either that the person couldn't READ the content of the original post... or, that they are very sad and lonely and the only way they can get any attention is to start a flamewar on the thread...
