an alternative to getting a zaust kit is having a hole in yer muffler
it works my mate keeps getting asked if he's souped his car up coz it sounds really cool
but it only sounds cool coz theres a hole in the muffler

be cheap make some holes

Frankie, took a look @ some magnex systems today for nova's when me and me m8 went to ABP motorsport for a drive out (in his nova no less ) and they are serious quality m8, bit pricy tho.. they had K&N's for 40 notes too!!!!

Shame mine does it in 8 though frankie, thick retard. Not to mention the fact that when mine gets to a corner, it can actually go round it without dropping to 5mph.

And can I ask what the point in having a big bore exhaust on a 1.3 engine is?

I'm just sticking a 3" tailpipe on mine... nothing too mental, just improve engine breathing a bit...

And, not all nova's need to slow down for corners Mr. Exor. Lowered and stiffened suspension, funnily enough, makes the car very competent at cornering. Stick some uprated anti-roll bars on and it'll stick to the road fookin' damn well. Me and a m8 were out the other day and we raced another Nova 1.3SR and pissed all over it as soon as we got to a roundabout as me m8s car can go round @ 50 and the standard SR about 3 feet in the air can only manage 30. There's the difference.

Shame Vauxhall didn't stick any brakes on Nova's tho...

The prob with peeps saying they're shit is that they think we can just go out and buy any old car, but we can't. We just buy something we can afford.

Know anything better than a Nova SR for under a grand that's just as capable, cheap to run and cheap to insure??? Thought not...

right, now changing the back box around from the old one will NOT add weight, seeming they are both steel etc etc, cept the performance one lets more gasses through

std 1.3 sr = 75 BHP + 10 = 85 BHP

85 BHP on a car that weighs 700 kilos is a GOOD power to weight ratio, go work it out

a kitted nova will prolly take you round a corner faster than your fluffy MGF

Now we're getting silly.

For your information, a standard MGF has 120BHP. With a K&N + Sports exhaust system (notice we don't call them "big bore" when we refer to decent cars) you're looking at 135BHP. How your 85BHP Nova beats a 135BHP MGF I don't know (reffering to your earlier post). Not to mention a Nova has the aerodynamic capabilities of a brick.

Oh yeah, and Novas look shit.

id recommend an alfa 146ti 2 litre (later than P reg preferably), had one for about a year, can pick them up quite reasonable, already have a nice sound so no need to spend on an exhaust, do 0 to 60 in 8.4secs, top 155bhp and are cracking fun to drive. contrary to what peeps say build quality is good and its cheap to run, a tad juicy maybe. im hooked on alfas
