Anyone know the best one to get (cheap = best)? I don't actually want one but Direct Line are insisting I get one or they won't cover me for theft!

Places to get one fitted too would be useful.

Telematics systems in your cars - it's the way forward!!! Remote diagnostics, sat-nav tracking, automatic emergency notification from air-bag deployment, remote locking/unlocking systems ... etc.

I work for Telematics Update Magazine so all my knowledge is industry focused rather than consumer - but you could have a look at the ITIS Holdings website or more specifically their product NavTrak - not sure about costs though, but I know they're one of the major players in the UK market at the moment. They can arrange the fitting for you.
