ID3 tags are attached to mp3 files and contain track/artist/album information.
You can burn albums in normal windows folders and the player will read them. The more complicated the directory structure the longer it will take to scan the disc though.
I just made a disc for radiohead stuff, it's awesome. 5 albums, 3 live gigs and a handful of b-sides all on one disc. Fucking choice.
