OK here are my thoughts on rezzing, again only my thoughts on this. Rezzing has been an intrgal part of past mmo's to include daoc, tho it was used excessively in large battles those with buffbots lost all of their high buffs. If rezzing was put into the game then some type of penalty to stats would have to be employed for X amount if time. Others have said that maybe only be allowed to be rezzed X amount of times and that could be viable but then the argument of the number set.
Rezzing during a large battle is to say the least hectic for healers but LOS would have to absolute for them. Being placed into the veil after being rezzed has it's issues since current thoughts are the only a set class can escape the veil. Using the veil in a way that if X number of rezzes are done then the veil fights back in the area of the rezzes being conducted or the player doing the rezzes start becoming ill from the effects of the veil touching them.
If the rezzer becomes ill then their rezzes may not take hold or their mana regen timer gets longer. Not sure if this would be a balanceable theme tho.
If a penalty for death is to be observed then both players will have ill effects of the veil with the rezzed player being most affected. Not sure just yet as to what the affects should be but there has to be a penalty and not just back in the fight to die again.
I definitely do not think a healer class should be a health battery for any realm nor should there be a mana battery in place. Potions maybe but maybe they should have some ill effects if you use too many but potions would be another discussion.
I am by no means a coder nor any type of programmer I just enjoy a game that makes me think tactically. Just my personal thoughts.
I like your ideas. My thoughts that rez of some sorts have to be in the game. It would devastate 8 man play. Fights would be over to quickly and that would be boring. I think we would lose a large number of players if there is no type of rez at all.

I had this idea, Since MJ talked about how Souls work when you slay someone we could use the same concept.
In Order to resurrect someone you will need to imbue him with a part of your soul weakening the caster in the process for an amount of time.
Until the subject recovers from the heavy burden of resurrecting the soul won't return to the caster.
This should limit combat resurrection and also have an impact on dying.

This is a pretty heated subject. Defending keeps and the like against an army of invaders who have healers standing back and rezzing everyone over and over and over again gets annoying real quick. It ends up being a game of "who will get bored and give up first?". I don't want this to happen in this game, at all. If rezzing is allowed it better have some huge drawbacks and/or consequences. Only being able to rez someone every hour or something could work. I, am all for removing rezzing all together.
