Well, Xav, Damini and myself are in #bw-nwn atm, and Xav is building the server as I write this. So feel free to pop in

can't, as I'm just off to bed. holland had the summer<>winter time reset yesterday. feeling a bit jetlagish. body is telling me I should have hit the hay two hours ago. I'll be in tomorrow evening though

anyhoo - server is almost up and running - sar and I will trundle round a mod or two briefly tonight to see what we can make of them, anyone who is around and wants to join us in a little exploration let meh know.

we should try and decide as a group tomorrow which we want to play first, so it could be useful for anyone who is unsure!

Well we just had a run around on the server, which performs nicely

As Xav said, we'll decide which module we wanna try first in IRC, and we'll all create new characters and use them in these sessions.

zero lag in our tests apart from a teeny spike louster suffered, but that was more likely copious pr0n at his end being dragged down his connection

mission complete methinks!

would be nice but I'm planning to run the server as a 24x7 persistant world

you could however host another server and we set up a portal between em... though this is probably the best place as both Bym and I can connect from behind the network and thus use less bandwidth

oh, for the geeks out there this is the spec of our _dedicated_ machine (nothing else running on it except our IRC bot)

Oh im also getting quite good with making toolset items so if anyone wants some low level items ( armour, weapons ect) then let me know and i'll have them made up for you.

Can I be the sneaky one then? Thieves suck so badly in single player compared to a big tank, and a mage would slow things down horribly.
