No, it wasn't sarcasm. I've said before I hope Bush gets in just to piss off the entire European Internet community. And Michael Moore into the bargain.

So yeah, Bush for a second term thx.

What if Bush get's back in and he then decides (now that the American people have ok'd his stance on the War on Terror) to attack Iran then N. Korea? Remember, he's got nothing to loose after a second term. What if he hammers home another patriot act and turns the US into a fascist dictatorship? What if he starts WWIII? Not bothered? Not effected by a nuclear war much?

Anything's possible with the neo-conservatives imho. It's one thing to fool a population that there's an evil enemy to struggle against, to increase a nationalist pride and unite the people - it's quite another to actually start believing it and follow through with a full scale war for no other reason than to generate cash and political clout.

This goes some way to explain Bush's grassroots support.

While I won't go as far as you. What ever happens does influence you. Economical atleast. But you could make a case for scientific progress aswell. We live in a global society nowadays.

Both candidates are not that good from my pov. To me not living in the USA it seems like they can choose between two idiots :(

Kerry has one policy. He isn't George Bush. For this alone, he deserves to get stuffed today.

Bush for a second term thx.

At least he doesn't have mental difficulties

Is this sarcasam? I'd take Kerry over Bush any day, it seems to me that 90% of what Bush does harms American interests.
Sod american interests, bush is such an idiot on any policy that relates outside america, what he does has a major effect on the rest of the world, so for that reason alone kerry deserves to win, he cant be as much of a retard as bush.

Catsby believes that it cannot be a democratic process unless it involves the candidates bare knuckle fighting.

With Kerrys reach, and Bushes tenacity, Catsby thinks it would be a good pay per view event.

yo, new president will elect the new Supreme Court Justices, which may amount to bans on abortion, gay marriage and a complete loss of civil liberties if Bush gets a second term. The only thing that's stopped him the first time round ws the SCJs. If he picks his own...

which is one of the many things...

more war
more debt
no more elections?

and stem cell research?

Will thinks Catsby has made an amazingly precise, satirical strike, on the problems with American democracy today.

It's better for us if Bush is in power. Kerry might be better for the americans, but who really cares about them? :)

Also, I want all those retards that can't make up their own minds, and hate Bush because everyone else does upset. "I hate Bush, aren't I clever?". (ofcourse, this doesn't apply to those that hate him through principal). :)

Why? I can't see any plus points. Apart from Bodhi being insufferable...which isn't really a plus.

Christ almighty a lot of people are spouting a lot of shit on this thread. Bush will install himself as Supreme Dictator id he gets a second term? I'm guessing if he does he's go to foriegn summits via Porcine Airways.

Really does make me laugh the amount of people who have fallen for anti-Bush scaremongering. Especially considering this is one of things they hate Bush for. It's so so tragic.

Kerry seems a bit of a pushover, especially when it comes to tough decisions. I think he would make America look weak, as he is not prepared to make decisions that might be unpopular.
Kerry will also want less responsibility in places like Iraq, which means it'll be us Euro's filling in the gaps. I don't think that'll go down well. Look at the fuss that was made about Black Watch. Political based decision? Maybe. But then what is Kerry's motive?
It is unlikely that Bush will attempt to take over the world, the public aren't behind him like they were before. Domestically Kerry may be better for America, Bush has some stupid ideas too heavily based in religion. But I'm not American, so why would I care? :)

Kerrys motive is to get into the whitehouse. Apart from that I dont think he has any other policies...

Scaremongering? That suggests it's just talk or propaganda. Nothing Bush has ever said makes me distrust him, it's the hidden agenda. Everything happening right now is exactly what the neo-cons wanted and have been working towards since the 70's. It's like Orwells 1984, except everything looks cleaner.

And any argument against Bush could be replied with "This message was brought to you by Michael Moore." But then that would be stupid, wouldn't it?

If bush is elected, it will most likely be because of ralph nader. if there would be a choice of either kerry or bush, kerry would win. however, nader took about 10% of the US population, which happens to mostly be democarts who would of voted for kerry.

If bush wins, and starts with a world war 3 intro, there will most probably be a civil war of some sort.

you cant be sure wether they would vote at all though and everyone knows that this election will be close. So anyone who is going to vote for Nadar either doesnt care who actually wins or they think/know that their state will safely go to Kerry (I am assuming that Nadar voters dont prefer Bush over Kerry).
Besides I guess there will also be other right winged candidates(from US point of view), so they might also "steal" votes from Bush.

To be honest, it's not "just an election", at least, not in my eyes. The way the Bush administration has run things has been globally indredibly divisive, with all this "You're with us or against us" bollocks. It's war against terror has FUELED global terrorism, and started two wars (Afghanistan and Iraq) that it hasn't actually bothered winning either properly before starting waving it's willy at North Korea and Cuba and anywhere else that it fancies. If there is a massive terrorist attack on London, I will blame Bush nearly as much as the terrorists.

Bush policies get british people killed. Bush policies have seen 100k Iraqi civilians killed. Bush policies help recruit terrorists. Bush policies cause severe disharmony in global politics. Bush also has eyes like a pig thats been dead for a week, but that's just a personal grudge.

Nader didn't get enough of the vote in the important states to make a big differene to the results.
