Shut your face!!

I didn't necessarily mean it in that way, all I'm saying is since you know he obviously comes back (how thats handled remains to be seen), it takes the gloss off his "ultimate sacrifice" somewhat.

Way to miss the point, numbnutz!

I was slagging off the tv people. "Uh oh, they might be upset that spike is gone, better reassure them that he'll be back for episode 1 of the new Angel!!"

Buffys smile at the end was strange. I appreciate Joss wanted to finish on a happy ending, but it seemed she had just forgotten about Spike, etc.

When you've just averted a nasty apocalypse in which you thought you could lose everyone you loved it's a bit of a relief to only lose one person I guess...same goes for Xander.

Plus Buffy and Spike were never right and they both knew it. She practically admitted she was still Angel's. Maybe she only wanted Spike to stay and gave him the amulet because long term, he's the one she'd rather have lost given the choice...

I recently borrowed Season 1 of Buffy on DVD from a mate to give myself one last try to "get" Buffy. I'd previously only seen a few episodes when people I live with had it on.

I just can't get into it. I see people post so passionately about it and I think is there something up with me as I couldn't stomach sitting through the 4th episode of Season 1, nevermind watch the whole series.

People say ahh but when XXX person comes in it gets better! Oh well, I'll go back to BJ and the Bear, The Goodies and ChiPS :(

Season 2 really takes off though...by the third episode in you'll see huge improvements and from then it just goes from strength to strength...S1 was ok but even a huge fan like myself wouldn't rate it that highly.

Anyas death was spot on - quick, bruta and fitted the circumstancesl.. no projected death speech or anything like that. Xanders reaction (given at one point he was supposed to be marrying her) was a bit subdued.

He didn't spot her lying there dead, glanced nearby but missed her. He would have known she was dead after the city collapsed however.

She did get a jolly good knifing, though if her upper torso had slid off her still standing it could have been improved :)

Agreed.

I think it was stu that said Season 1 of The Simpsons was dire (and it was). And look at it now?

I can't even sit through the first season of The Simpsons, the voices are all different, the animation is shoddy (by comparison).

Slightly off topic, but relevant.

I think it might depend on what version you've seen. When I watched the episode where xander gets his eyeball popped, I dont remember seeing any blood at all. When I downloaded the american version of a later episode in the review of last few episodes, his eye bleeds.

Ahhh there we go then...

Sky don't tend to cut as much as the BBC but it sounds like they have.

Ummm.not that I did what you're suggesting. I umm, saw it in the states...yeah, that's it.

I love it when the spin off is so much better than the original.
