Enlighten me, because when i do these things i dont feel they are obligations, i do it because i enjoy it and because i love my child!

FYI; It was I who left her, not the other way around.

So if you didn't enjoy it, you wouldn't? Hmm, sound parenting there. Maybe you'll drop your kids graduation party if there's a really important raid going on?

Doesn't matter who left who since the sex wasn't an issue according to you. Though giving up regular...good...sex for a raidspot is.

Where did I point that out?. I do loads of stuff with my son, even with his mother. No my son means more to me than WoW and luckily at his age he's sleeping most of the time while I raid. Besides I do not plan to be playing computers or reading forums by the time I reach the age of 30.

I still have regular good sex with one of my female friends, this is strictly a sexual relationship though, and it fits with my raidtimes and her evening shifts.

Well clearly it's a case of enjoying the activities with your son and not an obligation, so if you didn't enjoy it, you wouldn't do it. Good to resolve that.

And how nice that you don't have to choose between sex and raiding, would be a horrible choice. Then again, getting epix loot is much more important then staying together with the women you loved enough to get a kid with.

Hey, are you saying that someone at 30+ shouldn't be reading forums or playing games?

I indeed do, even though i dont live together with his mother, we still pick him up from kindergarden on shifts, sometime i deliver, sometimes i pickup. I see him almost everyday, and sometimes we take him to the movie together or other stuff like that :)
Wow. You see him almost every day? Superdad tbh. Do you tuck him into bed every night and read him a story? Do you sit down with his mother and him and have a meal every evening? There is no cohesion in this family. You said you left her, well you left him too (despite what you say) and that does not a devoted father make.

Because of a fucking computer game.

And what happens when he is older and *not* sleeping all the time you are "raiding" (whatever that even is)? You're gonna sit him in front of the TV and ignore him? You've already broken up the family for your computer game, who knows what other axes are waiting to fall on your list of paternal responsibilities.

I could probably get her back anyday if i want :) But i'm happy for now. Waiting till i see how the Dragon Soul raid will be, and hopefully killing Deathwing!.

I guess this is what makes us humans different from animals, as we can make decisions not based on our instincts, forcing us to live in packs or reproduce.

Live your own lives, and do not judge people you do not know. :twak:

kahland i dont know you true, but posting something like this sure gives a good insight.

its your life mate live it how you want but i cant condone this youve split up a family unit for a computer game, if it was because the relationship wasnt working thats one thing, to do it over a computer game is just incomprehensible to me. even when i was playing 12-16 hours a day on daoc i wouldnt have even thought about passing a relationship up for a game infact i knocked it on the head when i met someone. there will come a time your child asks why you dont live with his mummy i really hope you lie to him and dont tell him it was over a computer game.

Sometimes I think about how much I've lost out on by playing MMO's but I don't feel as bad anymore after reading this thread. Thanks for giving me some perspective Kahland.

He must be,

Could you imagine if he wiped on a raid? - it'd be like your dad coming home finding he's become redundant.

Imagine the mother though, having to explain to the child why the father left?

Either have to lie or try and explain what an embarrassing human being she copulated with. Both are horrific to both mother and child. But it's ok because you've gained an extra +2 in twig manipulation.

I hadn't even thought of explaining to the boy when he inevitably starts asking questions. My mind was so fucked over trying to process Kahland's reasoning that I hadn't even got that far.

Maybe Kahland is producing the future generations of expert consultant professional Gamers for years to come, and he's actually laughing at us knowing our children will be plebs, and his, far superior and talented for the future.

No, he must learn the hard way in life.

Basically hes just been disbanded from the group for pulling the wrong mob or trying to bomb the AE mezzed mobs.

Kahland is teaching his son not to tolerate noobs.

When he was born, they didn't check his vitals, well, he did, he instantly rushed the kid to the PC to check if he could turn it on or not.

He Succeded.

At 2 years his birthday wasn't a cuddly toy or a xylophone.. no it was allowance on a MC raid.

He wasn't even allowed to have a 3rd birthday until he got his runescape account to the top level.
