Just one suggestion. Make a decision now: "Do you want to ask about the suicide attempts or not".
You might think you can judge whether it's for attention or something deeper but it's impossible.
If you ask, be prepared to sit it out and hear about it all. If you aren't prepared to do that (and be aware that should you turn away again it could leave her worse off) then don't ask at all.

More generally, if you are full of indecision about what to do, just clear the air. Don't commit to either side. Just clear it up and see where you end up the next day, there's no harm in that.

In my experience (and it is extensive experience when it comes to "suicidal" fucknuts unfortunately), 90% of women who cut themselves are after attention because they've got very low (or non-existant) self worth.

They will fuck you up and bring you down to their level - so ignore the bitch. There's nothing YOU can do for her. She can only pull herself out of the shit. So steer clear......


On the other hand - that lack of self worth I mentioned is great because no matter what disgustingly degrading sex acts you make her perform on you she'll not leave because she won't believe she can get anyone better

About time I posted something here, considering its my house it all started in.

My tuppence worth is that she's a psycho raving nutcase. The girl has SEVERE issues that she likes to ignore and then bring up and use on people whenever it suits her. She's 17 and on anti-depressants for fucks sake.
Like Ig says, she'll bang on about how crap her boyfriend is just before she starts eating his face and skips off for a shag with him.
I would steer well clear of her personally, be her mate in one of those clenched-teeth-hi-how-are-you? ways, but never let her anywhere near you apart from that.
And I don't believe the suicide thing for a second, she just wants to see what you'll do.

Some people are beyond help and way beyond normal human thinking. She is one of them.

I'm 16 and am on anti-depressants, my girlfriend is 15 and is also on anti-depressants. I also have other friends of varying ages also being treated with anti-depressants. I fail to see how any corellation between age and the fact they're on anti-depressants bears any weight with this argument.

When I was 18, i helped out at a Young Adult centre during my summer months. My role within it was as a "personal care assistant" towards late teens and early adults. It was a very simple and easy job that most people do daily, it was to become a close friend to them and become someone to interact with.

I witnessed one night a Girl who was 19, attack her arms with a razor blade because she was placed into a sort of "solitary confinement" due to a fight with another person staying there. She was admitted to hospital that night due to the injuries and we were assigned a "visitor rota" to meet her in hospital until she got better. Everybody got on well with her and she finally came back to the centre bandaged up but with one change to herself, she was smiling. She had been off anti-depressants for two weeks and because of the care and attention she recieved by the "personal care assistants" in hospital she had cheered up immensely and started enjoying herself more, she left the centre a month later and is now working full time in a nursing home helping the elderly.

Just because shes a "psycho raving nutcase with severe issues" doesnt mean you should ignore her, she isnt a piece of meat but a human person with emotions and feelings, just like yourself... probably the reason she is on anti-depressants is the amount of abuse you lot give her for trying to fit in with the rest of the group, 79% of all depressed teenagers suffer due to peer pressure within groups of people. (useless fact I know)

You all give her a hard time for her issues, she needs a shoulder to cry on and a person whos kind enough to sit and listen, and help her out with everything. Scouse had one valid point out of his arguement, that 90% of women do it for attention, they do it as a cry for help, for assistance, not for a "hey look at me" stunt.

Okay, so what if you want to have nothing to do with her, then fuck off and leave her in peace, if you feel that maybe, just maybe you could show a small shread of common decency then talk to her, become a proper friend that isn't two faced, who will listen and provide advice to the person, and will look out for them.

Now - don't get me wrong - I currently live with someone who's a depressive and do my best to try and help (and it's fucking hard work). But most of the time its her failure to pull her finger out and make the most of bad situations that makes her depressed.

Just like all the other depressives I've known.


(BTW - I've been with her nearly 7 years so it's not some short-term help project - and it's as annoying now as it ever was).

That's generally the biggest problem with depression. No self-esteem, reluctance to get over things, complacency with their depression, and taking the easy option out. I know that I do all of the above.

It says - when a man is depressed - take notice and try to help - he may actually do something about it if you don't (like blow his head off - a friend's boss just did).



I used to live in a house at Uni with a girl who regularly overdosed on paracetamol.

At first we were all really helpfull - concerned, ferried her too and from the doctors etc.

In the end I bought a massive bag of paracetamol and gave her it with a note saying "do the job properly next time".

She moved out shortly afterwards and now is MD of Virgin Direct I believe. (Better not tell Branson that she's a fucking kleptomaniac and the biggest slag I ever met!).

I'm kinda inclined to think the self-harm is bullshit due to the fact that she's is trying to play you against the other geezer. I saw a lot of it happen in my school days and it pissed the hell out of me, I agree with the consenus and leave her alone, give her the time of day and thats it.
