Wonder why you didnt comment on the blatant lies that Hilary was passing out when she was describing her visit to Balkans where according to her she was under sniper fire and the reality was a totally different story.

if you want to become the president of the united states, u cant really afford to mix up words like these.

now its his great uncle and a camp...
when perhaps he will be elected it may be far more important words.

Well, seeing how he is one who will actually make change rather than just be a Bush number 2, I think such small mix-ups are quite small, compared to holding books upside down and such.

Oh i've heard many of his speeches, aside from actually using the word 'change' constantly what does he actually propose? I really don't think you can name anything significant.

Health care change, bringing it further towards a European standard of living

Also he like to make sure law is held true, which works against the patriot act which is a horrible piece of legislation.

EDIT: Or add reason number one, the ULTIMATE reason to vote for Barack Obama, which is that he does not accept money from lobbyists and a lot of laws all over the world today is fucked up due to lobbyists buying politicians and influences, filling the world with corrupt sides views instead of just views, spreading propaganda to make the weakminded think the laws are actually in their best interest.

Lobbyism(sp?) is one of the greatests threats to democracy in the world

Obama voted for the Patriot act, now it is viewed as unpopular he says he wants to get rid of it, candidates will say absolutely anything to get elected, it's all bullshit.

Ah, didn't know excatly that. Anyway, he didn't say he was out for the patriot act, that was actually MY assumption from his speeches about following the constitution, which has it's flaws and merits...

As a european, and considering the Iraq-issue, I'm kind of pissed off that none of the candidates have spoken of their responsibility in Iraq, instead they are all proposing ways to get out in the quickest, easiest fashion. Bush might have fucked up a hundred times over, but at least he has realized that they just can't leave like nothing ever happened (like Hillary Clinton seems to think they should).

I haven't heard that before, sounds paradoxal since he has the biggest budget between the two. Are you sure it was *all* the lobbyists?

Yes, ALL lobbyist.

Or, well, known lobbyists that is I take.

A lobbyist can still make a donation through a private donation, but his campaign is fueled by money donated from his supporters and not money from lobbyists like all the others, which just goes to show how popular he truely is, as Hillary had money from lobbyists and put in her own money to her campaign and still had far less money to work with than Obama.

EDIT: Now, this is not really the Iraq situation, but Obama is also the only one currently saying that he is willing to meet with leaders of nations that they don't like, like Iran (which could easily become the future Iraq if someone like Bush is in charge) and TALK about issues, as he elegantly puts it, the current system assumes that leaders of nations like Iran see it as punishment when the US leaders refuse to speak to them. He doesn't think that and thinks that being willing to talk and try and find solutions is better than just ignoring them until they do it ourway (current policy)

Oops meant Kerry.

'Mr. Bush’s score on the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test at age 22 again suggests that his I.Q was the mid-120’s, putting Mr. Bush in about the 95th percentile of the population, according to Mr. Sailer. Mr. Kerry’s I.Q. was about 120, in the 91st percentile, according to Mr. Sailer’s extrapolation of his score at age 22 on the Navy Officer Qualification Test.

Linda Gottfredson, an I.Q. expert at the University of Delaware, called it a creditable analysis said she was not surprised at the results or that so many people had assumed that Mr. Kerry was smarter. “People will often be misled into thinking someone is brighter if he says something complicated they can’t understand,” Professor Gottfredson said.'

http://txfx.net/2004/10/25/bush-had-higher-iq-than-kerry/

I always laugh when people jump on the Bush is stupid bandwagon. His image is carefully doctored to make him seem like the average joe, even his Texas accent is apparently overplayed, he didn't speak like that at Yale.

Let's not forget that he got re-elected, which is quite an achievment, and especially in his first term he was able to unify congress and the executive in a way not seen for decades. You can hardly call the man stupid just because he isn't the greatest public speaker.

IQ and intelligence are definately not the same thing. Ive had plenty of personal experience of that.

But yeah, i very much doubt that hes stupid even if many come to that conclusion when they hear him speak.

His re-election and success' on his first term are hardly proof of anything though as they were all because of 9/11, afghanistan and iraq.

I honestly cant decide who will make a better president: Obama or McCain? Obama would have made an excellent president had he been elected in 2000 but i think that America has chosen its path on this and its too late to change.

Just to clearify to everybody who doubted me after the last post, Barack Obama has now passed the 2025 vote mark which makes him the candidate, as he got 2073 total votes by 334 Super Delegates and 1739 pledged delegates.

Yeah :D

I hate how the press is covering this.

I mean, when Obama took the lead over Hillary (i.e. HE was most likely to become president nominee even then), Hillary had the nerves to say that he could possible be her vice president, which he refused because he was winning, obvious thing to do.
Now that he has won, she refuses to acknowledge it and withdraw (the noble and normal thing to do), but she does now say she is willing to be his vice president (obviously as that is the absolute best she can get, she has LOST) and news coverage of this often "Will Obama disrespect this generous outreach"(refering to his last refusal being disrespectfull usually) or "how will Obama respond to this noble gesture"

Bollocks; Nothing noble about it. She is 100% bitch, has been acting like a spoilt child for months, refusing to acknowledge her own mistakes and now she is trying to force Obama to make her vice president by not doing the noble thing, and people are stupid enough to call her noble for it? Damnit that anoyes me
