Personally, i dont think the USA is ready yet for either.

To many forces in places ( if the conspiracy theorists are to be believed!) to stop such a radical sea change.

It would be fantastic of course, Id like to place a £100.00 bet that McCain will win - and be very happy to lose the cash if he did not - win win situation..though lose lose in the long run :(

If Clinton is nominated, I think the Democrates have a far greater chance of winning - sorry but no black man is going to sway and Republican voters -its that simple unfortunately, Republicans really are that transparent. For fucks sake, the black guys name even sounds like a bloody arab, never mind his policies.

I think it'd be great if Obama got into power, yes yes it'd piss off all the white power and southern states like nothing else!

I don't fancy the sound of Hilary getting into power though, it'd cause disaster I reckon, although at least we'd have a feminists rally so we could bomb the place and get rid of at least a percentage of the idiot population.

Don't care really as I can't see that much of a difference between the demo and the repub party. Black/white, male/female, republican/democrates, they all belive in capitalism and therefor I don't see how they should change the system from what it is now to something better.

I am just waiting for the american economy to break down.

I think that its way too early to make any predictions on whos going to be president as things are changing so fast in the world right now. Oil could be well over 200 dollars/barrel by the election. Will americans still want to leave Iraq then?

Anyways, i dont think race is such a big issue in America these days. Obama has won alot of states with a very high percentage of white people. Im glad Obama won the primaries and Clinton lost.

well i think its the same for them both tbh..

Obamha getting votes just because he is black.

Clinton getting votes just because she is a women.

imo Hillary would be a bigger mistake than Bush, a woman on a power trip with the worlds biggest nuclear arsenal at her disposal..

but they aren't ready for a black president either, i dont mind if america goes insular so long as they stop fucking around in other peoples back yards

If he does by some miracle win he will be removed somehow tbh

I think neither should be voted in, for 1) I hope Obama doesn't get voted in just because he is black, he will find it VERY difficult to live up to the hype and 2) Hilary Clinton had a chance to make things right in America with there own style NHS... but strangely backed down in favor of getting more support for her Presedential Campaign.

The only reason I could see for Obama to get in is, he hasn't been influenced in the past by the White House or Washington, so perhaps he could come in with a neutral mind... that is until someone buys him off ;)

Have to remember, a black president would give a nice lil "scapegoat" for any white'mists.

"Ooh this isn't what it seems! We have a black president, come on!"

It aint a question about female or black president.

It is about a black male or a white male.

Hillary has lost months ago.
Almost all her advisors have said that she has lost, but due to her having invested so much of her own money, she refuses to back down before it is 100% official.

Barack got 1979 delegates, 320 Super Delegates, 1659 pledged delegates.
Hillary got 1781 delegates, 282 Super Delegates, 1499 pledges delegates.

Total delegates up for grasp = 3253 pledged delegates, 797 Super delegates = 4050.
At 2025 he has 50% and won finally.
So, in other words: Barack Obama needs 46 more delegates out of the 95 pledged left (48% of votes) or 46 more Super Delegates out of the 195 Super Delegates left (23%), or in total 46 out of the total 290 delegates left for grasp = less than 16%.

So for Hillary to win, she needs 85% of all the remaining votes going to her.

EDIT: The worst thing is that the bitch to Hillary is so freaking egoistic and selfish that she might end up ruining it all for the entire Democratic party. She expected a easy win as the democratic candidate and is furious that she didn't get it and acts like a hurt little child, throwing mud at her opponent, which just serves to give easy ammo to the Republicans when it gets to the real race which will be Obama vs. McCain

Why do you think that? It was the republicans that fought to end slavery after all.

Maybe theres something here that i dont know but ive never really connected either one of the 2 parties to racism.

Well, they are seen as connected by some people, due to the fact that 90%+ of all fundamentalist religious people votes republican and 90%+ of all KKK members, and generally all racists, does vote republican.

Not that the party itself is racist, it just seems they are the ones who racists support.

Well i dont know about that. Racists are stupid and uneducated --> racists are poor --> poor people vote for democrats.

Ofcourse its not that simple but you get the point.

I hope they both fail as they both say they will pull troops from Iraq and that will leave our troops holding the ball. So we will either have to send more troops or pull out ourselves.

Its not Opec saying that. Its Iran (and possibly Venezuela? dunno). Saudi Arabia and Iraq are still on a tight leash.

If Obama gets elected he wont pull back from Iraq. America already elected a congress to do that but has anything happened? theres too much to loose at this point.

How odd... only one I dont see like a puppet is Obama...

Strongly favour him, only one not just running like a part of the same system that has failed to do the right things for a very long time now.

if that was the case the democrats would always be in power. Uneducated people usually vote right wing so thats not true. In denmark its the same way.

What do you mean 'not ready'?

It really pisses me off every time i hear that statement. Clearly if the people vote for one the country is ready. This phrase is only coined to make people doubt their own decision on the grounds that some people think the US will burn if one of these are voted in ^_^

? o_O. Is there a flaw in my logic?

Yes, there is a very big flaw in your logic, because the bottom of society, the really poor, votes RIGHT, not LEFT.

EDIT: Oh, and ALL studies have shown that the less advanced a study is (i.e. carpenter education students vs. university degree students, etc) that the lower the education, the more racist and right people vote.

Poor and uneducated is thusly = voting right = voting republic.

Isn't Obama a follower of Louis Farrakhan ?
