He does; it just happens that his grp does the majority of GoL's RvR

I doub't anyone in GoL would claim it being an "RvR guild" in the usual sense of the phrase.

Zoy may not be the best player in the world but I agree that a dose of Zoy and Outy can be good for the soul if you need a laugh and just want to kick back.

1. Not making the most out of your performance because of group setup.
2. Not making the most out of your performance based on the group you already have.
3. Not making the most out of your performance as a class in said group.

3 things, all impede your performance as a group in rvr altough only 1 of them could be directly linked to what Zoyster & co is doing. Although I prefer playing in a fotm-setup (as in, being the one to experiment with classes and FIND the fotm-setup that others follow) I can fully understand that people with no-so-compatible classes want to play with eachother. This will result in a non-fotm group but still a valid setup (like GoL, they use a non-optimal mix of casters but still have minstrel, 2 clerics etc unlike a completely gimp randomgroup).

Points 2 and 3 however, I can not relate to at all. Nor can I understand why not learning your class, not playing well, would be more enjoyable than doing well. Someone just said something like "He doesn't play for fotm he plays for fun" and everybody suddenly just swallowed that statement, that playing badly would be more entertaining and I don't get it.

Playing with friends you like, ok, makes for a more enjoyable time. As far as I can understand people "enjoy" what Zoyster is doing because he is sort of "goofy" while playing. However hilarious this might seem to people who encounter it once in a while (must admit I laughed myself when picturing him trying to MoCbomb a group of purplecon mobs) I also see how this will get old and frustrating very fast, which is where Herbal is coming from, having played with him alot over the years. :worthy:

And yes Gorre, savages all follow the same cliché "powergamer" who can't stand losing and is constantly on the edge of his seat while playing, not to enjoy himself but to win and get those ph4t 4rp33s.

Bloody hell, a post from Stubbe that I agree with. I must be losing my touch...

I don't think there's many people around that don't enjoy learning how to play your class more effectively - in fact one of the things that keeps me rolling alts is learning how to play different classes (learning to be a good rejuv cleric, for example, is LOADS of fun as it's a big challenge finding out how to keep every alive, at least as much fun as learning to play a mincer was/is).
