Spitfire is absolute dog shit. In fact, that whole album is complete trash apart from Girls, which gets boring after the 5th listen.

What a disgrace. A disgrace to The Fat of the Land.

Fat of the Land sucked compared to Music for the Jilted Generation, that's where all the best stuff were, in my opinion. Fat of the Land had great songs nevertheless ;)

Edit: on second thought, "sucked" is way too harsh comparison, i'll rephrase it to "not nearly as good as" :p

Fact is, metal bands are unskilled noise makers, suck when they are underground, suck when they are signed.
This is actually funny man :p You say how good Oasis are.. yah they were popular but then saying that metal bands just make noise? Guitarists such as Kerry King play far superior music to that of Oasis :p

What you mean is, in your opinion Kerry King is a better guitarist than noel gallagher. On the other side, Noel Gallagher is a much more accomplished song writer. We can both argue till we are blue in the face about who the better band is, but there is no way of knowing. Its all down to personal preference :)

but metal still sucks :p

Had some friends over at the weekend (Thur/Fri here) and they were taking the piss out of my old record player so I dug out some of my ol' vinyls and a few old CD's:

The Cure - Pornography/Faith
Echo & the Bunneymen - Heaven Up here (Over the wall is a great track)
Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas/Head Over Heals
Joy Division - Still/Closer (dark music but simply great)
Jesus & Mary Chain - Psycocandy
Bauhaus - Mask/The skys gone out/In a flat field + some old EP's (grandfathers of goth music)
The The - Burning Blue Soul/ Soul mining/ Infected/Mind Bomb/Dusk (All Awsome)
Spear of Destiny - Some old EPs.
.....loads more too number to mention. have over 500 vinyl albums and about the same on CD.

Had a great time reliveing memories. The funiest thing was one of the girls was a 'so called goth' and had never heard of Bauhaus.

dunno how you can say metal guitarists are worse than pop ones. cos pop ones just tend to chug along on c major chord when in metal they acctually play more than 2 or 3 different notes

Im bored out my skull in work and thanking the lord that my mp3 player is fully charged and should last the full day :)

I was sitting here on random and Brown Eyed Girl by the eagles came on and i thought wow! this is actually the best song ever

Alas i used to like that song but the pikies next door seem to enjoy that song early in the morning and like to 'sing-a-long' to it, kinda destroyed it entirely for me now.

If u can find it 'At a medium pace' by Adam Sandler is kinda groovy or even Captain Kirk's rendition of Common People, his timing and delivery is quite superb.

Not my best songs but songs that lighten the moment :)
