Best PvE guild?

The DAoC end-game is, as we all know by now, RvR, and a lot of things in this game revolves around this concept. Thus, as it happens, guilds are often measured according to their achievements in RvR, with their amount of LWRP, RP and other factors giving an easy metric on their perceived "skill", as well as their realm opponents' opinion of their performance on the field of battle.

However, the other major aspect of DAoC is PvE, and has recently (with the advent of expansions such as SI and ToA) begun to measure up to a full end-game in its own right--I am sure there are loads of people here who prefer PvE before RvR, and some who have practically quit RvRing altogether (hello, Svartmetall!). Unfortunately, it seems to me that there is no easy way to measure the "skill" of PvE guilds, nor give an outside view of PvE achievements. I have heard of some guilds on US servers who have racked up an impressive amount of kills and raids, but what about the European servers (where we lack a coop server, as well)?

So, I put the question to you all: What are the best PvE guilds on the European servers, and why? What makes a "real" PvE guild anyway, as opposed to a conventional "levelling" guild? Are there in fact any such guilds around at all?

I don't think there is any true PvE guild on europe yet. Not in the same aspect as a RvR guild anyway. Having one or several fixed grps with fixed pålay times etc.

A big factor is that we lack the coop server which is the true PvE server type. So in the "RvR guild" way of speech, there are no PvE guilds on europe afaik and therefore none is the better imo.

You mean guilds that PvE a lot or guilds that get it done fast? Like nolby were 1st in mid to finish toa (to a decent level) and I wouldnt call them a PvE guild.

Nope. But when people say they completed ToA i assume they have farmed a few artifacts, got some nice gear and completed all the ml's...

As of a good PvE guild... atleast back in the (good) old days Servants of the Lake was a pretty decent PvE guild (aswell as a badass RvR guild)

If you mean best as in making like ToA fast, or running through the SI dungeons with as few ppl as possible id say the RvR guilds are the best PvE guilds aswell, Since they got all the toys and equipment to be able to do all those things easier then the rr1 ppl in epic armors (just making a case of the extrem, not saying all PvE guys are rr1 and running around in epics)

All ToA is about is getting ML's done and getting the artifacts to lvl 10 so you got your new SC, after that I rather not set my foot there again since its the biggest load of crap anyone could ever come up with. Why make a addon that make it close to impossible for new players to start the game? its just insane.

Only know of one PvE guild on the Euro servers, The Last Watch.

High concentration of ML9-10's and raid many PvE encounters regularly.

and about the RR thingy: there's a certain PvE guild that ranks amongst the top 5 "last week RP farmers" on duskwave as well (was 1st a few days ago as well) ... even PvE players need RR's to get better in what they are doing...

One crude way of measuring this would be the amount of ML10 chars each guild has, pity European xml dont tell us this.

Mid has some good Pve guilds too or maybe i should say people, who spend their time organising raids,Mls,arti hunts etc to help their realm mates out

lolz, didn't know alb RvR guild could play PvE since it's by far easier since the mobs don't hide/think/run/go for the right ppl etc etc. I can't say mid RvR guild outmatch the PvE guilds but else than suffering from numbers we are at least as good.

I wouldn't make up that stuff as I've seen it with my own eyes, so it is the truth I'm speaking Im not saying all RvR guilds are bad in PvE .. I just used this examples to counter the "omg RR1 PvE players in Epic" comment ...

I would say the 'best' guilds are those who have the most fun. You know, what with this being a game, and everything.

Some people treat this game as a gritted-teeth exercise in WINNING, and play it like Quake Team Deathmatch. They measure their status by their RP scores and killspam, and woe betide anyone who doesn't see the game their way or play it their way. They aren't so much concerned with having fun as being the BEST! UBAAARRRRR!!!!one!!!11!!!

Some people, on the other hand, remembered that this is a game, and games are played to have fun.

In TLW, in RvR we usually run 1 fg of ML10 chars, fully ToA'ed. Most of us are low RR - though the usual grp is 4 to 6 these days. TLW RvR is never organised or sanctioned by the guild, its just random, so we doing ok in that respect. The situation in RvR may change when NF is out but.....

Watch this space, attacking a TLW keep in NF with 20 ML10 chars in it is not going to easy !

TLW PvE for fun - we take on the hardest encounters possible, on a weekly basis -such as Typhon with 3 fg , dartmoor dragon with 14 peeps, and ML10 soon

PvE can be just as challenging as RvR - i.e. doing the hardest mobs without a zerg

I think Flemish Lions is one of the best Alb/ec PvE guilds atleast, they're very organized and do alot of TOA/other hunts quite often
