hahahahahahahahaa.......... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA............... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!1111

I mean, how true you are my dear friend, everyone that kills and performs better than others are clearly cheating. :)

Random radar accusations ftw. :D

no septina. i say what others dont like to hear or read. christ they even shut down posts on this forum about radar.a prime example is when i had a small regular grp with players like vulcan and gear, nightsend etc. not noobs by any measures. they knew very well how to play their individual chars. we were content to fight grps like gobo's pugs, have fun but we suspected a certain mid grp of using radar after we fought them three or four days in a row, rr11 healers, shaman etc 'respected' players. we reported them for suspected radar and since then those players no longer play, infact there was a quit post soon after we had reported one of the suspects. as we all know radar was used heavely in of, and was used in nf. another example is that sorc quakestar from albion(not sure of the spelling on the name), he was again reported by numerious players, akagi and i reported him and soon after he was banned. i do agree there were skilled players and still are, i dont for one minute think mid as a realm had overly skilled players, due to the sheer amount of utility and ra's they had available to them. the best grps are either hibs or albs imo.
we can ofc have an argument/debate over this but there is only one way to settle this : GOA names all the players they have banned/suspended whom they suspect used radar, attach guild names to these player characters and we shall find out the truth. until then the identity of the cheaters will remain safe.

Good guilds where ppl that help other ppl to archieve their goals.

best overall guilds (friendly, pve, rvr):
Mid: nazgul (fellowship of midgard where great for rvr raids)
Hib: -
alb: -

i have never been in alb or hib guilds that where contributing to their realm. only been in fgrvr guild in hib.
fg rvr guilds:
hib: dh
mid: np
alb: AD

Perhaps true for Excal, not for Prydwen, I dont know of many that got banned for radar and Ive only gotten into direct contact with it once and there are very very few I even suspect to have used it. Dont drag both servers over the same comb here, Excal was always more similar to the USservers regarding population and playstyles where radar was highly and extremely abused.

Well for me...

Well if we are talking Legends of the GAME, and for me personally it would look something like this...

Mid:
1. Midget Maffia
A cool concept coupled with good players and entertaining films. Also they were prolly the first uber performing guilds I got to see in action in rvr.
2. Maelstrom
Mainly because they have managed to stay in focus for longer than any of the other uber performing rvr groups. (to my knowledge anyway:)
3. House of Ahm
Their movies have reached world wide fame and that has to count for something as "Legends of the game".
4. Nolby Pride
Never really got to know them except from some odd movie I watched. Maybe they should be before Mael, Im not sure skillwise, but since Mael managed to stick around alot longer they got the top spot of these 2.

Hib:
1. Dem Hibbies
Well in short they are infamous.
2. Our Group
Well, their hayday was abit later than most of the other guilds here, and during that time they were outstanding.

Alb:
1. AD
Simply the best Alb rvr group out there.
2. PE
For quite a while PE was the only really great Alb fg on Prydwen so they did reach a certain amount of fame.
3. TT
A very skillful group with great standards and decent moral. In the end they were one of the best groups out there. And with making a stand for the game and our server they reached a level of respect and fame in my eyes warranting a vote for "Legends of the game"

Well thats my perspective atleast!:)

NP was using satellite uplinks when they played on Hib after cluster and everybody agreed on it back then, even Hibs, good to see you're mentioning this guild.

In the last 2 years or so for me it was Maesltrom on Midgard and Our Group/WI on Hibernia and then for a couple of light years no one behind.

Can't speak for Albion much as I never had the chance to fight the Albion groups, but PE is up top for me, also for the fact that they didn't manage to make complete idiots out of themself on FH like many others.

hard to say who was greatest. take away radar and lets see who was the best, that means a majority of the listed would not feature i think.

Sad, but true.

OT: Did you also have a mage called Athralmal (sp?) at one time or something? I can't help thinking I knew Fallenstar from pre-SI :)

ive beein in groups with most of the players from mentioned hib/mid guilds (and ad), and i never ever suspected any driver for beeing a radaruser. and trust me, my radar-sense is well developed :e

(tho if im wrong, the radarmates are laughing at me now :<)

lollers at the radar whine. no one from a top grp on either server has been banned ever for radar afaik? just because you get owned doesnt mean they cheat. to me its very clear who the good groups and players are. prodical or any of his mates are neither

I think people mix up "legendary" guilds with actully "best" guilds. the amount of this game has developed..

saying DH was best hib group and at the same time mentioning LA or Our Group, having played with all of them, its 2 different things. OF rvr was from from the quality today. And opponents (zergs) have developed and learnt their lessons. So I would prob say comparing most OF "top guilds" skills to todays, is not possible

I agree fully. But the comparison is not one group of old vs a new group, but rather: how an old group handled things with the situation beeing as it was back then. Compared to how a group of today handle things with the situation beeing what it is today.

Recognising that MM/DH were extremly skillful players, even though their opposition (in zerg anyway) were no where near what it would be today. Back in those days 1 fg could actually beat a zerg of 3-4 fgs. Today that would be near impossible. But you can still acknowledge the skill they possessed especially as a group.

But that aside, the question still went out for Legends of the Game. Not most skillful players of the game!:) And Legends often are created with time. Few legends live to see their fame in reality (well in this case stay with the game long enough! Most of OG has though so congrats to ya mate!:)

No offence, the good players from back then would be prolly good players nowdays too, but that OF PBAoE footage is quite boring in comparison to what the game is today.

grp with prenerf savas and pwn pwn = hardmode irl ! :)

The game is very very different today than it used to be no doubt, nevertheless, I think the old good players would stand up today too, those that quit the game when TOA etc came out that is. Its just adjustments thats needed.

Kitegrpa with some casters and (ab)use SW's and kill anything that overextends and pwn pwn is hardmode irl too tbh.. It really is.. ^^ Especially hardmode when two groups like this meet too, hey guys! bye guys! Kite kite kite.. wtf where be the stupid ppl that overextends? :p Very much hardmode.

Whats fun in the game is to take a setup nobody else run and make it work and work on it until it works, obviosly some setups will be flawed against certain others but who cares really, aslong as its fun :) Kindof hard now tho, most things has been tried and played.

The only legend guilds out there are those who have actually played actively together from OF uptill now. Who gives a flying fuck about guilds who were just formed by the same people over and over again and got disbanded a few weeks later.
