Being squad leader,

I dont mind being a squad leader but i think in being one we should have the choice whether to recieve BEP's or CET's. A couple of times lately when our SL has logged a few people have said they dont want to be SL. So ive stepped in just to keep the squad going.

Is this just me or am i being too greedy in wanting to be squad leader and recieve BEP's.

It's not just you, mate. Lot's of arguments in outfit chat about who is going to be SL because of this reason, everybody wants the BEPs instead of the CEPs. Usually our outfit leader steps in and takes command :)

No doubt this will change once there's BR20s about.

I was in squad with a guy called Galen, and he asked if anyone wanted to be sl for a base cap, so I stepped in, just to get my foot on the ladder, and got 4k CEP , just for doing nothing. I don't mind doing this sort of thing, as its hard to be a sl when you cant set wp etc, so every little helps.

I dont mind being SL for a nice group when for whatever reason the SL at that time leaves.

Common i mean it would be benificial to everyone to get to CR2, atleast 1. You can make WP's on the map at CR 1, which makes life alot easier as SL. And at CR 2 you get to talk in commander chat (or whatever it is called). Handy aswell.

And last but not least, you get a cool new additons to your avatar.

Need 5 more bub to CR1 tho, so i might be a bit to enthusiastic about the benefits.

Being squad leader for non-outfit squads is a hassle.

No one follows orders, everyone camps base caps for no reason other than xp and then argue and bitch when you ask them to move onto the next base 5 minutes before the one you are at (which has 1000 or so friendly troops in it) caps :(

Players go afk without telling you, players dont follow orders or just cant seem to see waypoints, takes 1/2 an hour to load a GAL, players just seem to wander to wherever they please.

Biggest moan on this topic is when a squad of 10 think they should save every base/tower/anthill on the continent, and all race off in different directions. 10 players on one base can make a difference, 10 players spread all over the map cant.

These are my reasons for not leading squads (bit of a rant, sry bout that), but most non-outfit squads simply cant be lead :)

Getting to cr2 for the command chat would indeed by good... if sony had used their heads with the command channel.

the command channel is bugged to hell

CR2 commanders can only see other CR2 commanders chat
CR3 commanders can only see other CR3 commanders chat
CR4 commanders can only see other CR4 commanders chat
CR5 commanders can only see other CR5 commanders chat

atleast at CR5 you can use broadcast :)

AHa in there favour ...

any cr can use /report this send what ever they ttyped to the cr above

ie: Cr1 comm: /report oi u tart
Cr2 comm: [Cr1 comm] Oi u tart

And this goes up and up till cr5.

Sucks as they can't respond unless they /tell them

At least with CR and BR we've got two goals to go for.
For what it's worth.

And as for squads wandering about heedlessly, kick them out of the squad.
You're the squad leader, you give plan the strategies.
If they don't want to follow them, they ain't up for the job, kick 'em.
