Urk. I have the same card (haven't had a chance to log on to the game yet). What are you replacing it with?

I am looking at this: http://www.ebuyer.com/253405-sapphi...-gddr5-dual-dvi-hdmi-dual-dp-out-11179-07-40g but checkout this review of current graphics cards and BF3: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/battlefield-3-graphics-performance,3063.html

After reading that I am now going to check my bank account and see what I can stretch too, already spent too much on camera equipment so I *should* be responsible...

Loving the SP at the moment. manages to run on Ultra settings with no problems. Though The Gamma options are a bit weak, had to alter them in the Nvidia Control Panel as I don't like pitch black in games. Will give MP a go once the campaign is finished.

That's another fucking sack of wank from 'em then.

Remember the good ol days where you could run your own servers, invite your mates for a bit of dodgy lan action etc? The "maturing" of gaming is sure as hell making it a lot less fun. :(

So true I had to quote it again.

Are there any bots in this game ? I won't have internet decent enough to play online for the next 8 months...

Is the SP alright ?

Theres no Bot option like on the old games. The BF3 campaign is a linear story. Would compare it to COD campaign mode with you having to go through areas mowing down people. Its alot of fun, though I wish they had given you the level of freedom you got in the first Bad Company campaign where you were given a massive map and told your objective, then it was up to you how you went about it. Was gutted it never came to the PC, but was a fun 360 title.

Um, I would pull my joystick out, but when I played BF2 with WASD, I also flew planes with keyboards, it was alot easier than using a joystick, just wondering if it'll be the same system.

I keep seeing some people flying planes like they are professionals, annoying, as soon as I get in one near the sea it ends badly :(

flying is preety similar to bf2 control wise, can manage a chopper and fly plane with kb mouse. but i cant fly em as good as a few peeps who claim to play with out a stick, i sure as fuck cant fly and be envoled in an epic dog fight. looks very impressive from the ground tho

Won't be long till I am at that stage, cannot wait. Will also buy MW3. These games certainly do look to be pushing boundaries.

Play MP for the first time last night. Enjoyed it even if I have nothing unlocked. Only got time to play Rush and it feels like Rush. The Choppers are so easy to fly now, they don't require any skill, which is a shame. I spent ages mastering the black hawk in previous games to airlift people and circle points.

Used to be the usual state of affairs - every new gen game pushed gfx card sales through the roof. Until game producers decided it'd be more profitable to pander to the consoles, that is...

Not always from what I've seen.

its not hard but the helmet type effect where dust/blood/smuges seem to sspread across the screen is kinda of putting at times. wana get sp finished so i can start uncharted 3, tho mp is damn good fun and is getting in the way of me finishing the game

Why not? I paid for the game, why shouldn't I play everything it has to offer.
Same here, working my way through the campaign to get familiar with how it operates before venturing online and getting my arse kicked by spotty 10year olds :p

That's like paying for an MMO and using every item you can possibly use, silly :p

The Online is what makes the game, the campaign is quite bad..
