This game just looks more and more awsome every video they release just looks like online FPS heaven.

Gaming sites such as Gamespot who tried the pretty much final version out in E3 say all the lag/bugs have gone and have pretty much hailed it a gaming masterpeice.

100 player battles look great (they were great in Joint Ops but the helicopter pyshics were just dumb)

Can't wait for this, hope the 24th june date is a definate date.

We've played the whole BF series. BF2 is the natural step forwards. We've been the top UK clan for each of the BF games and usually top 5 on Clanbase :)
You have to post on the forums to get a look in, http://forums.mpg-clan.co.uk.

Bet they dont turn head bob off.
Bet its a buggy load of cak.
Bet it lags for the first 19 patches.
Bet you get queues for the helicoptors.

You know, you're probably right, but even with all of the above, BF1942 was still the best multiplayer by a country mile when it came out.

*listens to the sound of CS fanboy teeth gnashing* :)

I missed the first round of BF1942 / Vietnam play due to other commitments but will not be missing this. Is there any talk of a BFV 2 addon for BF2?

I'm not keen on this promotion/rank stuff, too much like levelling, or the unlocking of weapons/add-ons.

Got it on pre-order nevertheless.

Source owns everything for me . I may not even bother to buy this BF2 business. In fact, unless I can find out about the head bob thing, I definately wont buy it.

Yeah what Throd said, I have tried to get into other games, but nothing feels as nice as CS on the source engine -and hopefully DoD Source when its out.

Does anyone have the required specs yet?

http://forum.eagames.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=2871#2871

We can now confirm the system specification for Battlefield 2. The minimum spec is the absolute lowest system the game will run on with detail settings turned down, the recommended spec is the system we feel will give a good overall experience with nice detail settings:

The minimum spec is a Pentium 4 1.7GHz or equivalent, 512MB RAM and a 128MB video card.

P4 2.5GHz or equivalent, 1GB RAM and a 256MB video card the recommended spec.

Windows XP is required to play Battlefield 2 as is a DirectX 9.0b compatible sound card.

Well, it was a nice idea, but I'm a fair amount off. Windows XP only, indeed. :/

I think cs sucks, just not my cuppa tea, i like battlefield because you get the awsome infantry fights and you get the option to thrash around in tanks/choppers/planes = fun.

I mean comon whats more fun then seeing one of you squad mates get in the way when your in a jeep and just run him over and turn him into road kill?

I wouldn't put a downer on it just yet tbh, I have to admit BF2 does touch the middle/upper market but there is also plenty of companys out there at the moment who offer various interest free finance packages as an avenue for you to explore. Ebay also has plenty of offers as an affordable upgrade well.

Op Flash 2 should rock. The original was so great yet so un-appreciated.

Which Op Flash 2?

The Codemasters' version or the Bohemia Interactive version (thats not called Op Flash 2 because CM own the Copyright to the name)?

There is Allied Assault, which is Op Flash 1.5, and there is Op Flash 2. I thought BIS was doing both of them...I've been out of the loop for a while.

Ah, the leetness which was OFP. Multiplayer (COOP especially) really was good, just a pain in the arse as you had to organise, and just wasn't as accessible as BF or CS...shame. I'm pretty sure I saw the Falklands mod somewhere, but I'm probably talking crap.
