Me and my partner floompy were in emain, mmg alb side to be exact, along came 2 Hibs from down the hill (we were stood near the gate) they had some form of speed and charged us, floompy got off IOD and i single target mezzed em both while they were stunned. basically, it was game over for them, 3 pbaes and they were dead, i ran into the middle of them, stuck my pet on here, and just as i went to cast my pbae, a fg of BO came through the gate and started pounding on our mezzed hibbies. i managed to get 1 pbae off and me and floompy got about 80 rps each.

tbh i didnt care, as far as im concered its RvR.... see an enemy... keel it!!! we probably lost about 400rps each from that duo kill... so what? we got more rps later on

this is where it gets funny...

got into a very good, well organised pickup group, not balanced as we had no healer, or any decent CC for that matter, but none the less, everyone knew what they were doing and it was going fine.

running from amg back to mmg and we came accross a big battle in the hills so we decided to engage. within about 5 miniutes all the enimies were dead... all of the mids did a fine job, we rezzed the dead, stuck up ready to move and bam "LEECHERS... FO" being yelled from certain BO members.

i dont hate BO in the slightest... but that was very funny indeed... considering there was at least 2fgs of albs at the time some members give guilds bad reps and its a shame tbh

hehe... i was actually following the lead.... who was doing a great job i might add. our entier group was very happy with the entier night he led... we got shed loads of realm points, but more importantly... had a great laugh doing it.

i personally only jumped in when we noticed the numbers... it was hardly zerg vs zerg but it was deffinatly a great fight by all... and again, all our group had fun whilst in the battle, and the fact we contributed to the win was great for group moral etc.

just a shame it had to end as it did

Nah, no worries Was more my fault anyway, you had little time to see what we were while I knew perfectly well what my group was like and still ran into los from hmg. Typical laziness of thought that I hate in myself and others.

But hey - there's a challenge. While running 2fg setup is harder and less fun than 1fg, co-operating groups (1fg + 1fg) does not necessarily have the same downsides (tho it has other problems). Doesnt have to be to achieve numerical superiority at all times, perfectly ok to not cfh when you can handle it yourself but if you -do- know there's force you are unlikely to be able to handle, then it makes sense to co-ordinate groups. We just need to get a bit better at it. And that can be done in more fun and complex ways than just forming 1fg + 1fg minizergs. That same luring tactic Blej talked about -is- perfectly possible with more than 1fg.

Actually, I'd say in most cases you cant unless you have prior idea of numbers fighting. You cruise around with speed, see fighting and spelleffects all over the place, what do you do? Join in or stop dead, ponder a while, pm people who are fighting asking if they're winning?

With prior knowledge or if the fight is fairly small, sure, you can make that judgement fairly quickly. With 1fg vs 1fg fights, where most people are still alive, no way in hell you can.

Anyone who has read and understood this document will obviously have found some of the posts in this thread utterly funny.. especially when certain people who claim to be authorities on what is in and isn't in the RoC are in reality very very wrong..

Are Albies monsters? Whenever I press F7 in Emain, I either get:

PS.. some of the stuff in that CoC is fairly scary. I'm sure if GOA were so-minded, they could punish half the players on the server, including myself, for various CoC violations

iv played this game for some time now, and tbh i dont see the fun when you get a group with ppl u know well, you go hunt to find challenges, you find a challenge, start fighting it, some die then some others come and quikly kill the last 1-2 of them, we wouldnt have lost, and i know they had no choice left, but do you take honor in something u dindt do by yourself?

I notice nobody from Bad Omen has had anything to say about the way some of their members acted towards Boomeruk....

If I am in a frontier and I see enemies, whether they are in combat or not and regardless of numbers... I generally go and hit some of them (I usually die very quickly but thats not the point) - that is why I am there, to kill (or be killed by) Albs and Hibs.

I'm a zerker - I hit stuff.... Nuff said.

Oh, and this isnt a democracy - just because 8>1 it doesnt give them the right to tell anyone else to do anything at all.
