Always buy coats at the end of winter. I got a massive North Face coat for less than £100, more than half off a couple of years back. Awesome coat.

That's solid advice, except that my sister stole my old coat and moved away so I had nothing except my old paperthin rainjacket, which doesn't even keep out rain anymore.

At least I look fucking awesome in this one, so there's that?
