really ? , the lag was supposed to be less with 1.71 , and the server population is dropping too so it cant be the amount of poeple on at once. When it was at its peak a few months b4 NF there wasnt lag

Cmon, plz find the problem GoA , wherether it may be , there must be a proper explination as to why its happening, the first 2 years of Daoc had nothing like this , nor did ToA when it first came out.. investigate more

ok this is going to sound harsh, and tbh so pissed off with the lag and game now i really dont give a shit if i get banned from being anti french here but this is how i see it...

as stated by many others, the french servers do not get this lag like we do, obviously bcoz they r being routed through ot, based in france.. now look at the server populations on the french and german servers compared to the 2 english servers .. hmm, maybe there is a problem , and they know it and its going to cost them bigtime to repair, were not so important as most of thier subs come from the other servers anyway. So we are not the main concern. Funny isnt it how England does so much for the world but everyone still hates us eh.. mind u, im english and tbh i hate the country too its a shithole run by a bunch of monkeys but thats another thread hehe

Btw i know the English servers are NOT just for english players, i know its English speaking servers as theres more Danish here than bloody english anyway , and some Greeks , Spanish , but in general England = the not important .

well i have to agree when we in a group made up of irish english green spanish and everyone is having exactly the same lag from different points in the european union then you got to admit that there is somthing seriously wrong at the goa end of things.

And for all the people in paris / french mainland to say there isnt is just sticking your head in the ground because there are probbly more nationalitys playing on the english servers than there are french.

Come on goa you got i say about a week if that to finally nail this on the head or MOVE THE SERVERS or MOVE ISP. probbly more simple than waiting for some 3rd rate company to try and fix a problem thats been on going now for months.

im running pingplotter and everytime i go ld or i get a lag spike its the last two hops that had highest ping so its not any problems where i coming from its sll goa.

Im glad i cancled autorenewal, sad thing is i had it on 3 months at a time

Lag issues

I have cancelled my 2 subs as of today though they wont run out for a while.
May renew if lag stops or comes down to a reasonable level.
I have also sent a mail to rightnow and a mail to mythic explaning the issues.

GOA and mythic want to make money and they will only do that if we pay them. The more ppl that cancels sub and send mails the more preasure they will be under to fix the issues.

Furthermore I have sent a email to Blizzard warning them of the problems they may face if they choose open transit hot host their servers.
I have heard(not confirmed though) that the wow servers will be behind OT and we can therefore expect the same of not more lag in both wow and daoc when wow goes live.

It will take 2 mins to write these mails to the 3 of them. If someone wants make a standard letter that ppl can copy/paste from here.

Usually I try to be sensible about these things. But, this is bad. I don't care if it's Open Transit or not. Everyone experiences this - it is GoA's duty to figure out what is wrong. We have send in trace route logs. Get it done before this turns into a one-player game.

all i hear from them is lag complaints, and then find this and many other threads, since its my nice new CC, i think ill pass... i aint coming back to crappy lagg.

I cant do it, i cant send in any more pingplots and traceroutes. I am all pinged out.

In the beginning i sent pingplots because i thought it would quickly help you to resolve the problem, But it seems we are still at the same place 3 months on. I dont thnk any MMORPG has asked for so much from its players, and given so little back.

A lot of people have spent time, effort and money on DAOC, to others its there 2nd life (or 1st) Maybe its time we spent the money elsewhere, and reminisce about the good times.

If i want to waste €30 a month, i might as well waste it on charity (or down the pub, but even then i tend to get beer lag after 4 pints)
