Oilrig isn't really that bad a map, in my opinion. I think the as_ concept is fundamentally flawed, but oilrig is as close as anybody's come to a decent implementation (well... I didn't mind riverside too much, either). Tundra, on the other hand, deserves to burn in the fires of hell, alongside highrise and forest.

have been playing on BW12 and it is growing on me.

I used to hate estate but it's awful colours are a change from the sands of the dusters. Still not sure about tundra though.

I miss as_forest, but as_tundra is my favourite as_ map, but I think the weapon balance is all wrong.

CTs really should get scouts.
Ts really should *not* get AWMs - too easy - AKs are bad enough.
Ts really should be allowed to buy the SIG AR.

Small changes, could be implemented by a friendly admin should they choose to. Seen it done and it was a pleasure to play Tundra - beat the shit out of Dust, but what doesnt ?

Bring back cs_arabstreets too. >

but yeah the balance in as_maps is f00ked imho T's shouldnt be allowed any rifles except those they manage to scavenge, it should be SMG's & shotguns only.

Also the VIP should be able to pick up dropped usps.

Server 12..good maps....nice friendly ppl (although some can talk the hind legs off a donkey... i'll mention no names)

I started playing on this server recently cos it's nice to see a change from the constant train, nuke, prodigy, dust battering you get from most other servers. Now this.

Backalley...jeez I hope the person responsible gets their repeat prescription soon

Backalley... yes. It's barely ever played these days, but yes, it is quite tactical and can be fun with good players. A bit too hard for the CTs for my liking, though.

Estate is just another of the Terrorist camp-a-thon maps, like militia, assault and siege and as such, is about as much fun to play as a thing that isn't very much fun to play at all.

And as for Tundra... well... take 9 Terrorists, 9 AWPs and you have the recipe for perhaps the most boring game possible.

Tundra...would be ok if the VIP wasnt a spaz and ran off on his own rambo style gettin awped and glocked...which is what was happening tonight :/

Its all very well comin up with reasons why an individaul map is good or tellin everyone its more popular than another....at the end of the day if a rotation doesn't work it doesn't work....and my personal view would be to say that BW12 doesn't.

But then it might for someone else....Like when it was Chateau/assault/siege...

Very few liked that rotation and I for 1 dont like all the maps but I felt it worked well for some reason.

Server 12 is and will continue to be a TEST rotation server to test how popular/unpopular certain maps/cylces are.

This hopefully will allow us to make the servers better in the long run, I dont think tundra is a great map either, but being as though some people like it a decision was made to put it onto server 12 so that we can see how it plays in the real world.

Everyone has different opinons on maps and tundra has not been as bad as I expected it to be.

The rotation will change soon and I dont expect you all to love it, but i expect some to.

I hope this goes some way to explain the situation.
