Only very quick and simple, since I don't really go in for these impressive, but often complex, customisations . . .



Nothing too special at work, just ...
  • Reluna Windows XP theme; pretty, subtle and understated (and no more bright blue Office 2003, which I personally don't really care for).
  • Sleek MP XP Windows Media Player 9 Series skin; minimal yet still overtly functional (the transparency is care of nView).
  • Potential Firebird Icon; prettier than the red flames, in my humble opinion, and likely to be adopted in future releases.
  • B-Man's Identical Self wallpaper; slightly modified to boost my ego.
I also happened across PatchXP on my travels, a great little (201Kb) program which patches and/or unpatches the uxtheme.dll so as to allow StyleXP themes to be installed by hand rather than having to use third party programs such as the aforementioned StyleXP.

nice theme mate, tho I couldn't get that app to work with my uxtheme.dll, thankfully I own a license to StyleXP being a devout UI whore \o/

That samurize program is class :)
Made my own little config:

Couldn't get the weather working, but if it was that important I could open a curtain I suppose :p
The geeky side of me is wondering if I could get it to display DAoC XML :)

Trial and error mostly :)
I downloaded samurize and some of the configs off the net, then experimented and copied them. If you want a more detailed walkthrough I could maybe do one later, but i'd have to call you Mr. lazy :p

Newest offering, couldn't resist posting something cos I've been dicking around with Samurize for about an hour. Not sure about the hd dials, think they may be a tad dominating. Clickable for full size png (329kb) or there's a 3.52mb tif as well, for no good reason that I can think of. :)
