I have that theme, I quite liked it until I tried to reverse the shell32.dll icon things which resulted in a reinstall of XP to repair it since reversing it was a fucking nightmare, to be blunt.

I used to have all sorts of themes in the past but then decided against them since they generally looked ugly, I like this theme because I find it clean and functional.

I found that Windows 2000 wasn't very good for changing the looks :(

I used this first:

http://windowsx.techconnect.ws/enhance/myvs/uxtheme.html - UXTheme Multi-Patcher enables you to use custom themes etc, skip if you already have though.

Then grab the Mac OSX Panther 2004 from this page - http://www.imagehouse.co.za/themes.html which will give the zip with all three required elements, just follow the instructions included on installing them.

If the theme part doesn't show up as stated in the install guide then its because the directory that it shows is fine but IRC it extracts one too many Mac OSX Panther 2004 dirs as below:

c:/Windows/resources/Themes/Mac OSX Panther 2004/Mac OSX Panther 2004

The one in bold is the extra one not needed.

When it should be:

c:/Windows/resources/Themes/Mac OSX Panther 2004

Make sure you copy the Mac OSX Panther 2004.Theme file to the Themes dir and drag second Mac OSX Panther 2004 dir (The one containing the rest of the files) into the themes dir which should then copy over the first Mac OSX Panther 2004 dir. It should now appear in the drop down box in the Display Properties/Themes box.

Ta Emb. Nice theme :)

Installation tip for anyone else though, as well as what Emb points out above with the directory. You need to rename the directory from "Mac OS X Panther 2004" to "Mac OSX Panther 2004". That space inbetween the S and X is a bitch.

Also both Aqua Dock and Y'z Shadow will need a shortcut in the Startup Folder to make sure they open every reboot/startup.

The scheme is very light, a bit harsh on my eyes at first. Having the dark brushed look would be a nice option.

The dock is easily the best bit, and I have been living without shadows and transparency since I upgraded to XP -why!

A little rearrangement really, got fed up of the Dock popping up every time I went to the top of the screen, so it's less "in the way" than it was.

Picture is my own from Saturday's show. Back using iTunes again too, can't get the feature balance from Winamp 5/iTunes in one package, which is extremely annoying, but it's all pretty functional :)

Well, there's various, most of which are linked through the past pages of this thread.

The icon bars are "Docks" - clones of the Dock in MacOSX. There's various available.

Then there are things like "StatBar" which displays a whole load of nerdy info on your desktop for reasons unknown... (imho, of course).

Then there's Samurise, which is used to stick calenders and anything else you fancy all over the place. Whipped once wrote a module that displayed the last 5 posts from the general forum. Pretty cool, but very technically demanding.

I seem to remember that Sar used LiteStep for a while, not seen nor heard of the Talisman shell for a very long time.

Oh an Emb, I had a looksie at that Theme you're using, if weren't aware, there's a second version of the background included that doesn't have the taskbar shadow on it :)

In the past I used various stat programs but I find them rather pointless now, but this is only my opinion and based on the fact that my system works at any load and at any temp this country can offer.

*Touches wood*

Here in Scotland, it's always fapping cold - so i have no need for such monitoring devices.

It would only read "COLD" or "COLDER"

For those clicking Brynn's link, stick a '?' at the end of it all after you reach the NOT AVAILABLE page.
