I doubt anyone cares that we lost the Relic, it's more the fact that we lost it at 5.00 AM. Losing a Relic due to this lame playstyle (and it is lame) is just terribly fucked up.

Even more seeing as we tried to take Alb relic primetime this week - and failed, but that was fun atleast.

Exactly; you hit the nail on the head there mate. Give Hibs/Mids a reason to go through all that trouble just to have a few unemployed no-life Einsteins ruin everything at 5AM. Every realm did AC raids before but this certain guild seems to make a hobby out of it (like one of them clearly posted in the beginning of this topic).

the looser here is the daoc game in general.

started playing again a bit this week. and like mastade was doing these primetime raids. the whole of hib was really like motivated to go out with whatever forces we could muster and take it to the albs. there was no talk about relics, theres was no talk about just making insta irvr in alb. the mission statement was go out there and take it to the albs. we did it in the middle of primetime we hit the full alb zerg head on and basically kicked its ass. It was great fun everyone in hib really enjoyed it.

got to about 2300 and peeps started loggin. overnight all the keeps taken get taken back undefended by the albs. The next day we do the same thing again. and out of hours albs take them back.
now our relics go out of hours to. and ofc the peeps doing this will say tough shit thats the way the cookie crumbles.

Theres some positives. a) hib knew that after the massive primetime effort to take these keeps the albs would prolly alarm them back. Do we care, not really there always gonna be some nubbit that does it. for me its more about that statement that we can go into alb territory when all their forces are online and do what we like? why, because we are better players, we have more balls, we have more honor and we own them. theres nothing more reassuring than the fact that we can do what we like to your realm when we like... the fact u can do nothing about it with double the numbers motivates us even more.

hibernia stand in the face of its enemy and strikes it down. Albion waits for its enemy to sleep and stabs it in the back.

b) yes its driving a lot of players away from the game. Like try and think about the big picture to people like kzn. nothing wrong with playing 24X7 or whatever but try and be responsible to a certain extent. I mean if you keep doing it peeps are just gonna get so pissed off that there wont be anypoint rvring because everything they achieve gets reversed out of hours by the pve crew.

we all know its lame. yes its a game its not the end of the world but consider you aint gonna be playing it forever and how you conduct yourself out there is important. you have twice the numbers of the other realms but yet you refuse to play by any sort of queensbury rules.

heres one thing. We will take our relics back and we will take them back in primetime. You will be there to try and stop us and you will fail.

why? because your albs. youve suxed since day one and your suxing more than ever atm!

Those who were on suggest there were 14 hibs on line (including bb's) when you opened the gates. It does not take a genious to work out that you are going to struggle to get a group to come out and face you at that time.

Let's be honest - this is a crock and that was never your intention.

I have been saying for a while that we need to try and avoid major exercises of hacking off a lot of players because decent RvR can be hard to find and if less players go to the frontiers then the chances will diminish further.

At a time when albs have been saying how much fun the recent RvR has been it is quite sad that a few are willing to risk upsetting things.

The only losers in the game atm is ALB you say we should play better rofl and we whine on a forum hee hee fact of matter is (Can only speak from a hibbie point of view) We played better than you Albs during the 2 nights in Primetime we brought to the game FUN which as been posted by numerous albs they enjoyed and now you think we are sore losers.

As I said only losers here are albs the CM group which you think are all high and mighty are doing everyone a favour with the AC raiding that they do when in reality they only fucking up alb as they don't have same sense of morality that Hib and Mid seem to be having.

Mastade got whole of Hib in having Fun but it seems you albs prefer to Pve and not have fun at all.

Mythic needs to address these sorts of raids, because 20 people basically piss off 2/3rd's of the server population, and no doubt they piss off some albs too.
I honestly think the relic gates should be un-openable between 4am and 8am. This would mean you could defend until 4am, get 4 hours sleep, then continue.
I know it's a 24/7 game, but the majority of people don't want Relics to be changing hands when there is a minimal amount of people on the server, people want epic Primetime raids where everyone gets involved, there are RPs and tactics to be done and it's an event, instead of this 5am vs hardly any defenders horseshit.

It doesn't do the game any favours, but on the other hand, it increases realm rivalry and I really hope Hibs get another big zerg event going to royally screw over the albs. I'd be quite happy to see the Albs lose all their keeps and relics forever - they have this excuse the whole time of "oh poor us, we had no relic in OF, that's why we're such tossers in NF".
It's quite simple, stop blaming the past for how you play now. Stop saying this 24/7 bullshit when you know that it is lame getting relics or keeps against npcs.

The relic gate shouldn't be closed for a few reasons.

A) When playing a game like Daoc. You know its 24/7
B) I would have nothing to read at work.
C) Its unfair on people who can only play at that time and want the same action type etc.

However, Guard spawn should perhaps be a little harder whilst the guards work "Night Shift" ;d

You can't take the relicshrine down with 8 players IIRC.

Not that it matters, because CM never runs with only 8 players

Everyone watch the lighbulb above puppets head turn on now, CM only run 2fg+ (recently with KF and mixed /as people) for the sole purpose of defending against such zergs, so go easy on the propoganda pup ;P you only end up convincing the stupid people anyway.
When CM+KF were running together we did roll a few fgs (no doubt looking for some easy arpe pug action) and if you were part of this lets be honest - wtf were you expecting in a "Mass RvR Event" that was posted on FH ;(

just fyi pup heres a few things that CM do not do in non siege enviroment (as im sure you are well aware when we have seen you solo)
1. do not add on 1v1
2. do not add on fg v fg
3. do not alt tab to irc/fh for epeen every time we beat an opted set group

As for the relic we had a pretty enjoyable evening away from crim/crauch bridge roaming and meeting various set fgs / pugs, didnt lose to any of them all night and started sieging around 12pm when they seemed to log

Really makes me smile to see so many clueless people calling this an AC raid, an alarm clock (AC) raid is when you set your alarm clock to a specific time to wake up at the same time as other people also on the AC raid to ninja a relic, CM certainly did not do this, we were roaming from 8pmCET+ until the siege started 4 hours later.

Most people here that played OF excal should remember Ardamels "red bull raid" when albs took relics primetime using "engage" tactics (no guards killed - no warning) and Ardamel started the siege to retake that relic the very same night starting @ 11pm and finally they took back their relic @ 8am.
Alarm clock and red bull raids are 2 different things.

As for effecting the "balance" of the game, well there are many superstar chanter/elds, zerkers/shadowblades/savages(R.I.P) here on FH that enjoyed OF relic domination "balance" and as Mastade has proven he is very capable of /bu zerg that keep , so i doubt very much it will last too long and he will get the crown of "hero of hibernia" that he so wanted ;P

Face the facts:

You all whined like fuck and spit the dummy before the last time you lost relics, the time before that and the time before that. Everytime albion gets any relics everyone starts wailing like banshee's about how its going to be the end of the game and everyone will leave. It wont and you wont.

As for CM, its a guild made up of people who all play in the same time period late at night due to shifts or time zones. Every realm has people who play late at night for whatever reasons, be it due to their jobs or country they play in. In Albion we simply have a guild that took the initiative to gather those people together to play together.

Wether you think its fair or not that they use their time to take keeps etc is a matter of opinion, but theres nothing stopping people from hib and mid making a guild for their regular night owls too. CM's been around long enough for people to realise thats their thing and follow the example. Personally I think its a good idea they have.
