This basically boils down to a couple of points -

- Mythic/GoA should know that telling everyone how your security is all laid out, and the counter measures installed, you may as well hand out a map of their network to a more experienced hacker.

- Even with every single piece of security software installed on your PC that you can lay your hands on, if someone is determined enough to hack you, they will... eventually (and i know of many companies that often will advertise how great their security is, just to see who can beat it, then they get in touch with the successful hacker and offer them cash to show them how he/she did it)

- Mythic/GoA could easily recreate Loch, and any others that were lost, at least physically, but first they need to investigate. Yup, i doubt that they will redo it, but they need to investigate first.

- People take this game TOO FUCKIN SERIOUSLY!! To get so concerned about this game that you will go to these lengths says to me that you are as addicted as the guy who cant leave his bed til he's had a litre of cheap vodka.


Basically, this passed out of Mythics hands when they hacked your account. This is a matter for the old bill (police if your not from london) Whoever this is, this was on your agenda, and was a carefully planned and orchestrated attack on a well known, and well respected player to the game. SotL , i suggest you ALL watch yourselves (hey, i might not love you guys, may not even like a lot of you, but i still cant see you all hit with something this low heh!)

Whoever did this, im 99% sure your guilded and holding a grudge, so i urge anyone who knows or hears any information regarding the culprit to get in touch with RightNow AS SOON AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN, with screenies or logs if poss.

The only people who are going to suffer is us, and you can never tell who, if anyone, is going to be hit next.

Well they should store the characters in a database that doesnt overwrite the old ones. Like one character database made on 7th of April one made 1th of april one made 23th of march and so on.

99% of the *hacking* cases are because of shared passwords. btw i dident hack this silly toon i dont even play daoc anymore. it just makes me laugh when you twits come here crying about it when its really your own fault. i have played daoc since beta and never had a firewall never changed pw and had no problems so you tell me?

Seel, there is a diffrence with loseing your lvl8x HC d2 char and your DaoC char.
in d2 it was your own fault, in daoc someone else did an illegal action just to destroy things for you.

I havent read everything, I kinda hasted through it, and some of you seems to blame Loch for not securing her comp enough, let me ask you this, If you sister are out haveing a great time, on the way home she gets raped.

Yes IRL and online are diffrent things, and if I left my car unlocked I would have to blame myself for that.
