I would disagree with the comments on London. Like everywhere else it's entirely dependent on where you are. Some areas aren't exactly friendly, others have fantastic communities. That said I've had an opportunity to live in New Zealand which didn't come to fruition and am very much wanting to try other climes. Nothing personal to the UK more self-improvement and wanting to experience other things.
