Just the one, an asus DirectCU2 top 280x.

Getting 100fps+ in csgo, l4d2, assetto corsa, 250+ in league of legends, the only thing struggling so far is Dark Souls 2, which dips to 40s, although I am running a high texture pack and a GEM.

And no 1440p doesn't count, 3840x2160 is the minimum for admittance.

My pc spec is a 2600k, 8gb of 1600mhz ddr3, and a 280x. Nothing that is particularly spectacular right now.
Monitor aside you could spend £700quid for a system that can play 4k easily.
You can buy a 7870 for half the price of a 280x for ~10% less performance and run 4k no problems.

Yup, Jaggies are gone. AA off on all my games, cannot tell the difference between on/off in screenshots I took to test it.

You can get a 7870 for £100-120 quid, the 280x which replaces is for £220+ is simply the same card clocked higher with a few small tweaks.

You can buy an i5 bundle for £300-400, chuck in some ram and an ssd/hdd and buy a 7870 and you have a monster capable of 4k for <£700

Yes the monitor is gonna set you back £450, but if you already have a decent GPU, chances are you can run 4k no problem.

I thought the 280x was a rebranded 7970? I know it's possible to crossfire a 7970 and a R9-280X and it thinks you have 2 of the same card.

I'm still waiting to see what Dell 34" 21:9 offering looks like, there's still not been any word. The LG one has had good reviews but some were quite scathing about it's colour accuracy. I'm not against the idea of jumping up to 4k, it has to be said but I wouldn't want to do it on a monitor smaller than 28" I don't think.

Theres a 28" dell 4k monitor thats like $480? or so, dinna if there are cheaper ones about, seemed quite reasonable for the price, not sure what the refresh and what not is though.

As long as your graphics card has displayport 1.2 ( which any newish card will have ), you can output to a 4k monitor at 60hz.

Ah k, might get myself one after xmas, not sure if theres much point though, dunno which games actually support the resolution lol.

Anything newish will (surely?), it's the aspect ratio more than the resolution that causes game engines to trip up. The LG I mentioned has problems with a lot of games (or rather, a lot of games have problems with it) but that's only because it's got a funky aspect ratio.

Yup, 4k ( 3840x2160 ) is 16:9, just like 1920x1080p.

I havnt launched a game yet that hasn't been able to go straight into it.

Getting it later in the year when I get my bonus, 4k monitor and another 290 graphics card. Quite like the look of the Asus offering http://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/PQ321Q/ because I am a massive Asus fanboy.

While I realise I could probably run it on my existing card (amd 290) I want to keep the beastly performance. 60/90 fps or gtfo.

I havn't had a single game drop under 60fps so far on my single 280x.

That's technically a lie... but only because I'm running a 4k texture+GEM addon for darksouls 2, when I switch some stuff from the GEM off it easily keeps 60+

L4d2/CSGO both stay 150+ and go 200+ in indoors areas.
Assetto Corsa stays 100+.

This assumption that you need 2 titans or 2 780tis is a fucking myth.

4K, waiting for a few months. Once more panel manufacturers to come on-line.Most of the current offerings outside of China are using the AUO. Samsung and LG will be spitting out their own in decent quantities by end of Q3.

Actually, baring Titans they are pretty much like for like and I am not dropping £600 - £700 on a Titan thanks. At the time my 290 was far better than Nvidias offering in that price range.

How could anyone recommend nvidia over amd when it comes to 4k? Lower VRAM and gimped pci bandwith(unless you want to piss 750 quid up the wall on a titan.. By which point you might aswel just xfire 2 290s). . The most important things for high res
