2h Thrust Armsman

I have a lowbie Armsman, mainly for Thidranki, but I will probably level him after the BGs as I hav'nt played a tank in ages. Anyway to the point, at the moment he is S&B, but after 1.52 I want to respec to an 'interesting' spec.

I am looking at 2h Thrust atm, because I don't think I have ever seen a 2h thrust armsman, and because I think that spec will hurt Middys wearing chain.

Questions are :

a) Is that generally regarded as a gimped spec ?
b) Are there many 2h thrust weapons dropped/questable ?

Please, please don't advise me to spec polearms, as they are too slow and I don't like cookie cutter uber templates.

Any other interesting spec advice is welcomed. Thanks.

i havew wondered too, people says its a gimped spec but trust plus 2h im my books should work pretty well as long as your strength is high

Thrust pole beats thrust 2h hands down any day. There are very few 2h thrust drops (Actually, I've only ever seen one or two) and likewise very few 2h thrust weapons, for that matter.

In terms of gimpiness, I don't think it's too bad. As you say, it could be funky vs chain, however if you multi-spec with 42 shield for support, your 1h damage will be even suckier than the usual 1h damage.
