So Farage only got not much more than twice as many votes as Binface (~22k vs.~9k). Total humiliation. No wonder he made up a "credible security threat" and lied through his teeth that the police had advised him not to attend to get out of showing up...

Quick "BBC factcheck": He actually increased the number of votes he got on a significantly lower turnout.
22 329 votes, vs 21,225. Turnout 44% vs 58.7%.

More votes... It was a shitshow from everyone tbh. One we're going to have to go through (and pay for) again.
He'll be found guilty of not reporting the five million quid, after months more "investigation" (which is clearly dragging so daily headlines can continue) andcwe'll do it again and he'll win again.
Lets be honest - the tories and labour didn't stand because getting a kicking wouldn't have been good for them. It'll be harder for them not to stand next time. They don't really give a fuck about the five million.
And clearly, neither do the people who voted farage last time. Even more people voted for him.
It's a bit like the Trump thing before the election over there. Allegations of impropriety, all over the press, constantly (and it's never stopped) - didn't cut through with the voters and Trump won.
Lets see how long the Burnham bump lasts.

I'm just stating what appears to have happened. Again.
The 'dems refused to look at their failings and really understand why voters are failing to connect with them - and they lost to Trump. In the UK people voted in a Labour government with barely any of a mandate (FPTP giving them outsized power) and we're already another PM down. And Labour have changed PM's to a much more likeable character, who on the face of it does't appear to be doing anything massively differently (other than rapidly mini-biden-ing some extra oil and gas drilling).
I'm hoping his no10 North thing will actually bear some fruit - but that'll be coming to fruition just in time for me to die.
Voters know this. The left doesn't seem capable of soul-searching and giving the voters what they want.
So Farage is still a big big risk.
Unfortunately, people like you Gwad, Labour diehards, keep sticking their heads in the sand.
Where's the big, bold change the voters are demanding?

You've picked the thing where I called you a Labour Diehard, and not addressed any of the questions - never mind why you keep accusing me of supporting Farage (which, apparently, I'm not supposed to get butthurt at) - but that pesky question of "if people don't want Farage to get in, what are the left offering as an alternative"?

If you aren't in full-time employment, or education, or unable to work through either physical or mental illness, then if you have been none of the above for more than a year, you should not have a say, in anything, our pets are more productive than they are.
As for Mirage, the state should sue him for the cost of the by-election, I am sure one of his foreign mates will bail him out.
