It's just more distraction, they're hoping the story is now a by-election when actually, it's still his blatant corruption, and it will be until that investigation and any penalty is complete. I wouldn't mind betting the office investigating him has already told him what they're looking at, and he's doing this in response.

Also, the doorstepping thing is laughable. A single reporter knocked on the door, the person who answered (not his daughter) said no, they went away. This is what he gets angry about. Imagine him in a room with a tough negotiator, he'd be a fucking joke.

Also, will he actually go through with it now all the main parties have told him to fuck off? Bets on Honest Bob taking over in the next week or two?

It disgusts me that he keeps saying he's the most attacked politician... apart from the dead one who was attacked by one of his supporters...

I wonder if he'll take responsibility if there are attacks on the mainstream media/political parties because they're all evil and corrupt or something.

I mean, she was attacked once.

But then, once is all it takes doesn't it. Does he have to be killed too? Is that the only outcome that satisfies?

Look. I get it. None of us are fans of Farage, but polarisation and partisanship really doesn't add to any sensible discussion.

Why is it taking so long, is my question.

Farage has 5m quid. The guy who gave him the £5m isn't hiding that.

They've two people to talk to here. How long do they have to "investigate" for?

It should be easy to figure out if it's allowed or not. Yet whilst it's hanging over his head it enables the headlines to continue.

Accusations of "establishment"?

Again. As I have to justify everything I say nowadays, I'm not pro-Farage. But how long should this be allowed to go on.

This coming from the guy that called Labour Nazis and that they should all fuck off and die?

OK.

It would be really easy for Farage to just say 'Look at Jo Cox being assassinated and I hold more controversial views than she does.'

That's how you get sympathy from non-Reform voters.

But no, he's going for the 'Yeah, Labour are fucking me over, feel sorry for me please, but I won't hold any responsibility for people that take my words literally and go attack the people that are deep state working against me etc.'

I didn't say Nazi's.

Authoritarian control freaks they absolutely are though. Angry at people saying stuff they don't agree with and criminalising it.

Speaking of which:

So, you're not opposed to what he's saying but you are the way he's saying it?

He has to reference Jo Cox?

I mean, he obviously can never do that...

Imagine the fucking look on his face if he lost to Count Binface. That would keep me warm through some long dark nights.

Edit, in fact, I might see what £10 would get me. Edit pfft. 4/1, apparently.

Years ago, in Denmark, a comedian ran for parliament as a joke, just as he had for 15+ years, but this time he actually won. Then it turns out Parliament was split 89/89 and he was the deciding vote on who got to be in power. He didn't run after that.

Genuinely wondering if we end up with an event, at the ideal time, that will whip the right into a fury. False flag operation. Farrage losing to a bin would be an utter disaster for the entire global far right.

If Farage did lose to Binface, I think I would genuinely piss myself laughing irl.

Cummings:

"Quick, get the false flag claims in first". Right Wing 101.

Problem for Cummings' claims is Farage is actually as bent as a nine-bob note. And Cummings himself (remember Cambridge Analytica?) is in no position to criticise anyone about going low to get what he wants.

"Hate Crime"

At least it wasn't an effigy of mohammed.

But serious point - "end the threat of radical islam" and "secure our borders". Expressing a deep desire to not have Islam have a large foothold in their country. Agree or disagree, this is what protest looks like. Nobody got hurt. And burning effigies is a loooong held tradition...

I'm inclined to agree, but:

not even waiting for this incredibly long investigation to finish?

Unpopular, reactionary asshat. Yes. Bent?

I mean, our last Prime Minister was a vocal advocate of war crimes. So even if Nige is found to be shifty with his hash he'll still come above Starmer on ethics for me.

On my cunt scale, I recon he's a 6 out of ten. Starmer's a 9.

I'm firmly on the "no smoke without fire" bus on this one. No-one gives £5M gifts to non-family members. There's a quid pro quo. And apart from that every single bit of Farage's behaviour since this blew up screams "cornered rat".
