to get back on archerchanges, the only one that gains from this are scouts tbh, now they have no more penalty against DW attackers, and hunters and rangers lose their selfbuffs and now have to spec like 50 bow to compete against scouts, nice way of destroying melee ranger, imo

haha fucking cock suckers. Its funny how they are fixing things in the game now that people really observed and just plain fucked up or wrong 4 years ago.

This one was like the most retard thing for sneaks... many many people complained. time and time again we got the big middle finger from mythic on it. Then when 90% of the players are gone. Ok you are right this is stupid... lets fix it!

Well it's yet another nerf for a hunter....

Firstly they nerf the wolf by making it pop you out of stealth if it gets in combat.... this was really useful to do this to break brittle and PBT on casters...without showing ya self....

Now if a hunter sees a stealthed stealther we actually have to pop stealther out of stealth before we can sic the dog on him... ya joy

And coupled this with the FZ nerf...making it fecking even harder to kill casters....

I'm wondering if this archer love patch is actually the biggest nerf archers have ever had.

For hunters this isnt a nerf, it's a long overdue fix. Don't think many hunters would even argue about that.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how they merge the lines and what buffs will be available in the archery line before anyone will really know what difference it will make.

Final effect? Melee rangers/hunters will have better bow skills, thats about it.

i think the final effect wil be that meleescouts will kill meleerangers as they wil spec 50 bow 42 shield 29 weap if i remember correct, due to dualwield changes vs blocking and scouts getting selfbuffs wich rangers always previously had

too bad the DW changes combined with remedy make the life an assassin shit, so i prolly wont be playing.

This is the list that I send every month or so to the Camelot Herald Feedback page, things to fix that are currently making a shadowblades/assassins life crap:

1) DI Bots - the pool that they heal should depend on the size of the group - also make a Line-of-Sight check to stop people using them in keeps/towers/bridges.
(I know this also affects FGs but tbh - the line of sight check makes sense)

2) Stealth Guards - to stop running/attacking through keep walls

3) Vanish - to make us disappear and STAY disappeared instead of 50% of the time instapopping out of stealth giving the enemy free RP while we are "disarmed". Fix it - or get rid of the disarm when knocked out of stealth.

4) Siegewrecker - to work every time instead of 50% of the time

5) PA - make it powerful once again. Maybe make a minimum amount of damage against different materials, Cloth 750-1000 minimum? Leather 500-750 minimum? Armour 300-500 minimum?
(At the moment some classes reply to our PA hitting us for 2-3 times harder >.<)

6) Put ladders at towers so we can fight enemy at oil (put doors at oil/captain level so that we can't sneak in and take the tower without going through the front door)

7) Pets need to stop following once we stealth up (looks like this is fixed in 1.88d whoop)

8) Colour Weapons in your pack or the writing with the different poisons on them so I don't have to Shift+I after each fight to see what weapons still have poisons on them

9) Our Safe fall to be good again. Too many times I get badly injured jumping off keeps/towers. (Band Aid Mythirian Item fix?)

10) Give us 2.5 spec points to be able to compete better against or Infil and NS counterparts
OR
11) Give us off-evade stun so that we too can abuse the CS evade chain debuff like Infils and NS's do.

12) Give us a CHOICE of useful RR5 abilities - I would like to have available - what we have now/what Infils have/or a Focus Shield that Reflects 25% Caster Damage, ABS 90% Caster Damage (SoI like Sorcs have but Shadowblade style)/Shadowstrike

13) Give RP on the fly so that any damage you do make, gives instant-RP, or give RP for time online (Say 1k per hour (as long as you are moving about most of the time - and not just running into a wall :>). I say this as walking away from an evening's playing and only making 500RP when some caster or OP FOTM class makes 16k RP in an HOUR, the balance just isn't quite right there :> Also getting someone to 1% health and getting 0RP is harsh.

14) Make the gaming area get smaller as less people are on. A dynamic size changing area/island so that you can find people to kill when it gets quiet would be great.

I just get the impression that slowly but surely they will eventually make DAOC the way it should have been made - but how long is it going to take? Will there be anybody left?
I suppose there will always be a hardcore group who stay, much as I played Quake even when Quake III was about, but what affect will Warhammer have? Will it be the final nail in the coffin?

I suppose they could just keep on grouping servers (not sure about the Tech side of this) to keep numbers up, or maybe give population bonuses out on the fly. Say there are 500 albs on and only 100 mids, maybe make everything the Mids do worth 5 times as much. Maybe the population would auto-level out due to this.

All I see at the moment is a few people trying out the new mauler class, a few FGs roaming about and hardly any assassins on.

We'll just have to see what the future holds.

just hope they fix critshot somehow then, to be more like a PA, maybe lower dmg, but make it unblock/parry/evadable, bt penetrating etc..

Besides all kinda bowshoot take out brittle AND bt in 1 shoot as it is now.

and archers allrdy have a shoot that penetrates bt so :drink:
