This is a minor style review only.

The full review is not part of 1.65.

This is not the official "Style Review." That will be coming later - these are just a few of the more pressing issues that they wanted to address.

Are you people really that blind? It's been said over and over and over again by quite a few savages that the s/d/t/q ratio is wrong. It seems it has finally gotten fixed. Thanks to Trevanti for doing a good job.

Hopefully he'll get the hp used for buffs based on displayed hp and not unbuffed hp before the patch goes live as well. That is really needed tbh. Quite noticable difference, atleast for my kobold :D ( really hate the life-loss when unbuffed atm, should be like that when buffed as well )

well I'm for one looking forward to it :) Now all we need is a 20% dmg reduction to savages and better siege equipment and I'm happy :)

That new keep looks pretty nice, being able to attack any of three doors once ur past the outer door seems a nice idea. Cant see it being much different except ofc to stop stealthers attacking defenders once you are past the first door AND ofc to stop stealthers ninja raiding normal keeps.

Also with the new stronger lifedrain for body cabalists the spec line nuke actually does less damage (174 compared to 179). This makes a full spirit half body spec even more appealing since you can now debuff an even stronger baseline nuke, although the debuff has been heavily nerfed.

Hmm if they think that more dmg to the Thane AE spell's will bring the Thane more rvr combats they are wrong, The thane need somthing they can offer the Group they join, NOT more spell dmg.
Guess i continue lvl my Savage.

Gorrion lvl 50 Thane
Silverhand lvl 50 Healer
Malar lvl 50 Dishwasher "former zerk"
Maligor lvl 50 Bonedancer
Flensing lvl 42 Cave-Shaman

- Players who attempt to log in near a frontier keep or relic keep that is "under attack" or owned by an enemy realm will now be moved to a "safe point". "Under attack" is defined as when the doors are actively taking damage or are completely broken open. The safe point for attackers is the portal keep of the enemy frontier they are in. The safe point for defenders is the border keep with the portal pad of the frontier they are defending.

am i reading this wrong or oes this mean NOBODY can log there alts(lvl50's they dont play often) in a keep/relic keep when its being attacked.... so for example it means a pbae chanter cant log insie the hib relic keep when its being attacked cos they will be transported automatically to there Bk ?

if thats the case then thats is a great change,, and i am sure it will make for a LOT of fun relic raids when this change is implimented :)

yeah but quad hits were the main problem, they happened far too often to the point of it being funny, lower the % of how much a quad hit happens and less people get pissed off with savages doing crazy amounts of hits at capped speed, also remove 360 degree evade, so tanks can slam to help protect the support. Make the taunt non-interuptable and the class is close to balanced imho.

Taunt will remain an interupt shout, HOWEVER they will later make the taunt "shout" a casted spell.
thus the insta part of it goes away, this is however removing an important part in PvE for Savages being able to draw aggro.
since this will make it interupptable aswell.

Indeed this will be a radical change in playstyle, @relicraids.

Now it will be more "doable" performing by the book primitime relicraids.
with by the book i mean transporting from (X)TK to relickeep with the relicraid force. Perhaps we will se less Albs logging in dodens in the future.
They are slowly but shurely plugging the holes for the non intented ways to perform relicraids. or to turn it around to defend a relickeep.

Imo these changes won't make thanes more wanted in rvr groups then they already are atm, or should I say aren't. Hmm... seems like they just boosted our Pve abilities wich were more then adequate already.

They will do alot for thanes in keeptakes and more importantly DEFENCE.
I dont know of many Thanes using mjollner in PvE, poss lairpulls.
But lairpull style exping usually demands tanks taunting.

I read that the same Yoda, you try and login a char inside the keeps while the doors are being hit, you dont login at the keep/relic keep you login at say Svasud Faste....... does seem like a very big change that most people are missing the implications of.

other very very important changes!!!

- /gc autoremove account command is now active. This command allows you to autoremove all of a player's characters from your guild - including any alternates. Note that this command will fail in tota when attempted on a guild leader's account.

WOHOO

- Fixed a bug that in some cases was causing increased resist rates for direct damage spells on epic (level 65+) monsters.

YESSSS, perhaps this will make mystics more wanted in PvE.

Skald

- Increased the range of the Chant of the Brawl line to 1500.

- Decreased the reuse timer on the Warcry and Battle Shout lines to 15 seconds.

- Added a new shout in the Warcry and Battle Shout lines. War Howl is a new level 43 shout and Battle Roar is a new level 50 shout.

- Skald base hit points have been raised.

I am god, i know. but i just got ever mightier ^^.
Thanks this really is luv for skalds FINALLY.
Will be inteersting to see the new DD spell values indeed.
Skald gets more variety atleast.
Just a tad more group:ablility value is needed though it is a very good start though :)

Midgard Sword

- Ice Storm now has an evade opener.

- Sif's Revenge now chains off of Ice Storm

- Draw Out now has a high to-hit bonus

Ice storm change is poss a welcome change for shadowblades, i am worried for "tank" classes though, this may affect them negative speccing sword.
And wasent Sif´s revenge style 3 in a chain of 3?
Thus removing a tripple chain from sword users.

This will only help Shadowblades, discomforting :/ since hamstring is my main from evade style and most other shadowblades aswell.
This wont really help shadowblades unless going very weak crit.

Albion: Vilmalin can be found right outside Caer Diogel and will sell players a ride to Clifton.
Midgard: Korlis can be found just outside Hagall and will sell players a ride to the Iarn dwarf outpost in Faraheim.
Hibernia: Zrrazk can be found just outside of Necht and will sell players a ride to the Krrzck outpost in World's End.

yay

Well the SBs weren't thrilled about the sword change due to the style being worse than Hamstring and warriors didn't like losing an anytime chain, but some savage was looking forward to it. Apparently the new taunt's good but that's about it. Didn't see anything about axe styles but didn't look that much either.

Hib pierce changes are apparently somewhat liked by the NS's, the Return Blade change wasn't however by the guardians.

Armsmen are mostly hating the pole changes, with a couple exceptions. Crush changes aren't enough to make it more popular I'm pretty certain with the awful endurance usage - although anytime 2-style chain with 6s stun is... Lovely. And bound to get changed.

That's what I gathered from ~15 mins of browsing VN last night. Propably more info by now, but surprisingly it's down

Like it was said already, thane SC changes won't make them any more wanted in RvR groups.. Oh well, have to be thankfull for everything we can get tho.. but still :(

And it's nice that they decreased mana usage of our spells, but what should have been fixed is the insane endurance usage of our spells.. chain Thor's Full Lightning and you'll be ooe in a heartbeat, boo!!!

General good changes. Hope they add some more to help us SBs though. The new evade based opening styles are totally useless to us. I hope they are meant for others and they add some more to issue balance between stealthers. Mincers even got some more love :(

- Spell resists from realm abilities are now displayed and applied seperately to the character, which should reduce some of the extreme cases of very high
resistances.
:)

Right, the question any debuffer is looking for: can resistances still go in the positive, or is it capped at zero now? Oh, and where the heck are those "sweeping resistance changes" we were promised, huh?

It looks like Cerdin will either become a body Cabalist, or a retired keep defender (and he can't even be parked in Excal anymore! :().

I'd have thought these changes would work out fairly neutral for a spirit/body cab using debuffed nukes.

Debuff will take you 40%-> -10% instead of 40%-> -30% but a 27% delve increase to your baseline body nuke at the same time, and therefore a 27% increase to your cap.

And remember you are hitting cap currently so some of the decrease will be absorbed by the margin you are currently losing to the cap.

So, this is going to mean a 20/130 = 15% (minus whatever is currently being cut off by the cap) decrease in damage due to debuff changes, and a 27% increase due to delve changes.

The debuff duration change will restrict you to what, 5 nukes inside 8 seconds?
