Raven, Calaen, Uara, lead by Poag, return to the school. Cerb is the first unlucky one to meet the four and gets ripped to shreads in an instant, limbs flying every which way as he tries to escape.

Ch3tan, the one person left with any sanity runs to the roof and makes his final stand with the 50 cal machine gun mounted there.

Raven is blown to bits as the rest charge towards Ch3tan.

Calaen manages to slip by and almost reaches Ch3t, before he pulls out his pistol and shoots his brains all over the roof.

Rain starts to fall as the machine gun gives a final "click" and runs out of ammo.

One last ditch effort, one last bullet, Ch3tan looks at his options. He puts the gun against his head, narrows his eyes and goes "F*ck it, i'm taking one of you with me." and shoots Uara with a marksmanship like accuracy.

All his little pets dead, Poag shrugs; "I can make more." and runs straight at Ch3tan. Ch3tan grabs one of the boards he had in his fortification kit and tries to swing at Poag, before Poag runs himself and Ch3tan off the roof and straight ontop of a police car, leaving Ch3tan as zombiefood as his spine is busted up.

Poag dusts himself off, cracks his neck and walks away, dropping Ch3ts arm for a couple of zombies passing by.

GAme over, Zombies win.

Why'd you shoot him?

Were there any 'special' characters at the start of the game? Or was it purely down to me walking around inside the labs that did it?

I stumbled upon a tazer and jail cell keys but it was so late in the game and people were being so inactive that I didn't really get a chance to use it.

I'm still confused as to what made Nate paranoid about me.

I was following up Poag's stories. Wasn't 100% sure about him, but still, walking about minding my own business and ready to contribute to the group when needed.

I noticed Nate following me, and he didn't respond to any easy throwaway questions about it, so I left it, but kept an eye out.

When I was confirming Mab's death he turned a wall with a gun. What's a guy to do but throw a grenade at the fucker :D

Lol :p

Everything I said was true. I just missed out two bits that would have turned you all against me :p

The Iris knocked me unconscious and something she said about me being upgraded :)

So if anyone has ideas, suggestions, wants and needs about the next game, now would be the time to poke the badger ;)

I would say to have fixed time periods, even 24 hour cycles. I am not sure about punishing people who do nothing but maybe keep track of them. Some people just AFK'd through the game which means that it is quite difficult to do anything or check things out properly. Maybe say that they fall into a deep sleep through inactivity, or move to another room for a sleep?

I had the tazer and my plan was to get people alone, tazer them and check them over for anything suspicious, I only got to Cerb, he was OK so I left the jail cell unlocked.

Yeap, timer instead of free 24/7 game will be in.

Though you have to remember that a 24h timer means i have to be on it all the time ;)

there will always been the prob of people posting every hour vs people checking it after work, and its either "too slow" or "people miss stuff" or whatever :(

Yeap, activity can't be an issue really. That's why i'm thinking of an action based 24h cycle that doesn't punish inactivity(though you could get voted out without saying a word), but rewards activity.

That's reserved for the military specialist ;)

You could've taken the machine gun from the roof, put it on the pickup and drove through the barricade(perhaps survive), just an example of the rules not being that strict.

Also it seems people are a bit too much interested in looting then surviving and planning together, but i think that's due to it not being clear that it's a way offbeat werewolf game, with only the voting to kick people out as a "old" mechanic.

I think this game suffered in the same way as the last one... people lost focus on the werewolf vote them out aspect, we were all too chummy.

I did like it, but I just couldn't commit time due to work.

This, as you said. It's good to have a 24hr action cycle with the number of actions you're allowed to take well-defined.

It also means that those who have trouble checking/can't commit time can simply log in for 5 minutes in the evening and job's done...

I think we should start voting out people that don't talk enough as a rule.

I like the idea of being rewarded for more active participation, but not necessarily punished for inactivity.

I like the idea of a game mechanic where there are no specific roles (to begin with) ... but one suggestion: maybe we role-play as different characters?
  • the selfish criminal
  • the ex-cop trying to do good
  • the senior businessman who constantly questions the cop "who put you in charge?"
  • the family members who are not necessarily bad, but when push comes to shove will put each other ahead of the group
etc.

Ultimately we need to be given a clear and ultimate goal for success ... and different routes to success / failure ... add in the role-play and I think that might be fun?

When I got given the tazer and jail cell keys I toyed with the idea of just locking everyone up one by one but decided to use it for good instead. Though I did steal one of Cerb's axes because I didn't have a weapon!

Good game.

I think keeping balance between having things be open and there being so much to do that people don't focus on what the HAVE to do is a difficult one and as you said there was a little too much focus on looting, lncluding from me.

problem with that is you end up with people doing stuff "in character" that kicks off RL arguments with people ;)
goal for success, again, depends on the game type, giving people too much info makes it too easy, having to investigate makes it more interesting

swings and roundabouts tbh

Indeed, having sucess goals to work towards would be good.

Like, leave town, convert everyone, kill the zombie master, answer the mystery of baskervill halls.

Ok, a murder mystery game might be interesting :)
