I can't stand people who use some fuzzy animal as an excuse to make fun of things. Like hiding behind some avatar gives you the power to mock things without consequence. Also those people usually like to "discuss" abouot things, which most see as arguing. Stupid people. Also sarcasm...can't stand it.

In the interests of not naming people, i wont say that Vladamir is one of the worst people for doing this xD

I don't know if you guys only visit this forum are any other forum, but talking about RL thing is something that has never been of any issue on any forum. What's the difference between discussing real life issues with your friend on msn or sharing thoughts and opinions on a forum where you got get to know people by time?

People asking help about rl issues on a forum is probably because they needed to get the weight of their shoulders and didn't have any one else to ask for advice at the time of posting. It's just the human need to communicate no matter how. The fact that you are posting anonimousely (sp) and that no one actually know you irl makes it easier anyway.

edit: beeing dyslectic (read: too fast) again.

Hate when people join the football threads to say "football sucks" or something along the lines of that.

Thing that supprises me the most reading these forums, expecialy the RvR section is how people get so involved in the game. An example being a thread about adding/zerging/abuseing someone who added etc.

I personaly think now after not playing the game for afew months is simply, whats the point in getting so worked up about something so pointless at the end of the day? Then second i wonder, "i hope i didnt used to do that" :)

But honestly when i read some hardcore whine thread i think "hey, whats the point, take a step back and chill the fuck out".

And as to what people post in off topic section doesnt really bother me, thats why its offtopic. Mind you its my fav section of the foum as theres normaly summat kinda intresting to read, rather then the same old shit on rvr section.

That said, what I hate is those that purposedly add nothing into most of the conversations but spam and post off-topic comments.

this area is basically a free for all though. i personally dont want loads of rules saying do this and not that.

if you dont want to read something that doesnt add anything, then skip it.

Actually, isn't this what the topic is about? Not to enforce rules and laws but merely to let one and all say what they dislike in our beloved OT section. I doubt anyone wants loads of rules saying do this and not that but taking other people into account when posting something is barely a rule, it's common sense.

It's fine that people think that soccer sucks, but the people discussing don't give a fuck to be honest :)

And what are you on about cluttering the OT, there's like a thread about football a week, hardly anything that'll disrupt the forum.

To be honest, in the olden days the off-topic was merely a free for all but lately it has turned into something a lot more close to people's hearts.

This is evident in the phrase of people deeming other's as the 'off-topic crew' etc. It is a place where a large group of us converge. It's no longer a pop in, post a link and pop out.

And to be honest, respecting other people and not spamming aren't 'loads of rules.' It's common politeness amongst others. If two people are having a conversation, you don't butt in with meaningless shit, nor do you abuse them by calling the names. The internet is an anonymous place I agree but even in such an envrionment there should be basic rules.

As for skipping it... that's such a silly view of it all. If someone insults you, you skip it? Generally not - so why should it be different to spam/meaningless garbage? If you want to play personal fun time with your friends (not you directly) then take it to MSN/PM's or a different thread.

It's all down to respect to be honest.

The reason to post RL problems on a forum, is that you get to be annonym, but still get the feeling that you're not alone out there having the problems. Small things like that knowing the RL problems I have is normal, makes me feel better.

I don't like talking with friends about my problems, thats just me. But I have to get it out somehow, and there are lots of great people here spend their time stating their opinion, or telling about their own experience.

I wont give names but there are a few.

I guess this is aimed at me, im actually using my brain rather than following whatevers on the News at the current point.

A few days ago I posted a post about me falling in love with my best m8s x.. I did it here as I can't really talk to any of my irl friends about it and therefore I think it's nice to come here and get an outsider to look at my problem and say their opinion about it..

imo, its better if you talk about your problem with someone you dont associate with much, because they can see a much wider perspective than say your friends, there is no more one sided views.

you and others.

But its inevitable and i dont slate you for it, Like mark said when i first played this game i was about 16 and stayed at home playing comp games loads. Now i live in diff country etc and am totally diffrent.

Its just inevitable when u have people of age grps varying from 13-40 partaking in the same disgussion.

I know, i mean, a forum is for general discussion and opinions, so its going to happen. Sorry if ive pissed you off in any way, but i prefer to look beyond the box personally.

In Politics there's very rarely a right & wrong and one sided views are abundent, in both us as individuals and politicians...

The slating of the younger people has got to stop with this old 'experiance' and 'not equalness.' I bet Himse has put up a greater point than you in atleast one case on these boards.

I always believed keeping my age secret was a necessity. Unfortunately, after being on some boards, I can only agree. It's ironic that when you're doing things for others however, that age is never a concern. When you start to disagree or challenge or what have you, age then becomes everything.

Sad...

I remember in the BG section you always used to 'butt in' whenever a certain person was posting and calling him names when it never considered you.

Hypocrasy is great, isn't it?

That was Dori/Aleven.

They go under the description of 'ego-inflated annoying twits.'

The fact they got banned & the fact they always make new accounts & the fact 90% of the forum hates them kind of agrees with that.

Ah so I take it you can't defend yourself.

Love the way you disagree with yourself more in that post ;) iirc you aren't the most popular of forumites either.

Pfft, I should know better than to argue with kids. Bye for now.

You can be young but you shouldn't be dumb.

Age doesn't mean anything, but when it shows and effects behaviour, then it's an issue.

Well to be honest, if you'd read my threads close enough, they mostly refered to off-topic community.

Dori wasn't really an off-topic member.

That said, I think Dori being banned says who was in the wrong :)

And lastly, yes, exceptions occur to every rule. That's the way life is but meaningless flaming isn't needed (dori-flaming was needed - half the time he flamed/insulted people I knew/got on well with - other times he was just being a general twit.)

Yes - I can say twit cause his not here is he? :)

Edit - Jesmin just got self-pwned. Next! ;)

Sometimes people who are older and "wiser" act stupid and say stupid things too tbh.
